Has Aggie baseball underachieved more than Aggie football?

Serious question. We know there is a ton that goes into a championship football program, and much of it is off the field business.
Baseball is a sport that historically has NOT been dominated by schools with the best facilities and most money.
A&M competes in a talent-rich state, and has always been in a conference with nationally competitive programs, thus pushing them to be at a high level. Johnson and Childress had some outstanding teams, but I feel like many failed to meet postseason expectations. Hell, the guy before them had a solid winning percentage.
They’ve made the CWS in 51, 64, 93, 99, 11, and 17. Their record in those combined trips is 2-12. Two total wins in Omaha is abysmal for a school that has been as talented as they have.
In ‘93, they entered as a 1-seed, but could only notch a win over Kansas.
I think it’s fair to call 1989 a choke. I recall 2 supers in a row against TCU where the Ags were either a National Seed or had the Frogs on the ropes, and lost both.
Historically, Texas, TCU, and Rice have clearly been better. Texas Tech has passed them up. Even Baylor and Houston have had some magical runs that produced close title trips.
What gives?

At least their football team “won a title” back in 1939.
Their baseball team hasn’t even played for a CWS title

It is by far their most successful sport of the "big 3", which ironically is also the sport they've been dominated by certain other teams the most
They simply cannot get it done in the postseason, though. And they talk about their 1989 team like it's the 72 dolphins, yet they didn't even qualify for Omaha.

I realize this is a troll thread because it’s on this board but yes, I think so. Football is tougher road, we really should be a national power in baseball. Hopefully Schloss can get us there

They are like Missouri in basketball
People for some reason think they have a great tradition, etc but have never done anything in the postseason
