We are Tennessee on the lines now. Should I be impressed?

At least he is used to getting fired mid season.

Do you have the list of coaches that turned us down?

Yes. He was a pretty good recruiter from what I remember. I think he flipped a player or two from us when at UT.

To be fair to Brumbaugh, UT’s Dline wasn’t the issue.

Their offensive line however was absolutely atrocious, and now we have that coach on staff.

One of TOS insiders said Harsin was turned down 3-4 times. Such great hopes for this offseason from the transfer portal to hopefully Will Friend leaving and it all sucked.

That clears it up. "3-4 times" was the clincher.

Really seems like we are scraping the bottom of the barrel for recruits and staff.

This doesn't look promising.

It's not a splash hire. I don't think it's as terrible as most. Time will tell.

At the end of the day, just let Harsin hire whomever and if it works, it works. If not, he will be gone in 3 years

Looks like a Brumbaugh was really successful at Kentucky and left for Maryland to be DC and DL coach.

Wasn’t retained by Locksley at Maryland so he went to Colorado a year before heading to UT.

He clearly wasn't the first choice and they missed on a few NFL guys, but he's not terrible or anything. Brumbaugh's big strength is supposedly talent evaluation; this is what Stoops at Kentucky is known for, and Brumbaugh was under Stoops for 4 seasons. Fun fact, Brumbaugh also coached Byron Cowart for his one season at Maryland and he ended up being a 5th round pick.

Ole Jimmy gave me a ride home from Fink's one night when I was real fouled up. That's all I got.
