That’s a long time, surely they have many SEC titles in that time, right?

When they do win one. I'm sure they'll be smart enough to put the right hat on.

I think OU,Texas or even A&M may get one before Tenn gets another NC but Tenn did look better this season. My Question does it become the big 8 when OU and Tx are added to the SEC? They are good historically or do they have to earn a title while in the SEC before getting this status?

I was talking SEC titles, been since 1998 and another one doesn’t seem likely anytime in the foreseeable future.

Now let me ask you this question. Which one of those National Champion teams is not like the others, and why?

Edit: The answer is not “pre/post-2000”

No. The Big six refers to the teams that have won a conference title since 1970.

We should consider an update as the century rolls along. At some point, a few decades in, if you haven’t even been the best in the conference, are your REALLY a big 6 team?

1998 has become a thing. A&M has been longer, but no one cares about them.

UGA has won multiple SEC titles since 2000 and even finished as a runner up a few years back. Tennessee has won nothing.
