DEYON BOUIE, WR (Texas A&M)
Bouie can play either side of the ball at the high-major level, but has primarily played receiver this week. After an early 1-on-1 end zone drop, Bouie assembled a terrific day. To finish practice, he strung together a few 7-on-7 goal line touchdown grabs as he found open space and minded the back line and boundaries with toe-tapping awareness. Before that, Bouie produced one of the day's best 7-on-7 open-field plays as he caught a well-placed intermediate crosser from Jayden Denegal (Michigan) and outran a defender to the far boundary and the final 20 yards to paydirt.
KOJO ANTWI, WR (Ohio State)
Antwi provided another solid, consistent day, which seems to be the theme of his week. A quartet of turbo-charged receivers -- Bouie, Isaiah Bond (Alabama), Barion Brown (Kentucky), and Isaiah Sategna (Arkansas) -- give the East ample downfield firepower, but Antwi has thrived in the short-to-intermediate game as perhaps the squad's most natural route runner. He hauled in an 18-yard 7-on-7 red-zone TD from Allar toward the end of practice on a smoothly executed scoring strike.
ISAIAH SATEGNA, WR (Arkansas)
Sategna on Thursday showed impressive spatial awareness during short-to-intermediate drills and routes on air, then found open space on those same levels in 7-on-7 competition. He provides an intriguing weapon for the East as a slot type who can find openings for quicker throws, but also run by defenders in the vertical game with decathlete-boosted speed and athleticism.
NEXT FIVE DEFENSE
MYKEL WILLIAMS, DL (Georgia)
Opportunities to shine were significantly limited for the linemen on both sides of the ball Thursday, but Williams flashed a couple of times in the lone inside run session, disrupting the offense's timing and generally giving the O-line headaches. Williams owns an elite frame with outstanding functional athleticism and play violence. He has assembled one of the best performances at the event entering the weekend.
DeMARIO TOLAN, LB (LSU)
Tolan was right there with Burnham as an off-ball linebacker who stood out during 7-on-7 action because of his pursuit range and in-space comfort. Tolan snagged a 7-on-7 red-zone interception of Allar on a receiver-QB miscommunication that Tolan anticipated well. Singleton got the better of him on the aforementioned wheel route TD, but otherwise, Tolan was up to Thursday's challenge for the most part.
JULIAN HUMPHREY, CB (Georgia)
Like Moore, the East staff was high on Humphrey, a big-framed corner with outstanding track-verified speed. He's one of the biggest corners at this event and knows how to mix it up with wideouts to maximize his physical advantages. Because of his physical specs and long speed, Humphrey is a high-ceiling prospect in the long term.
AROUND EAST PRACTICE ...
-- Receiver Isaiah Bond (Alabama) followed Wednesday's dominant performance with a solid outing Thursday. He drew at least one DPI during 1-on-1 reps and provided a dangerous decoy to free up other receivers in 7-on-7 red-zone and goal-line drills. Bond has proven near the top of the heap in the ball skills department for East pass catchers, a particularly impressive attribute considering how well he could project to defense as well.
-- Quarterback Gunner Stockton (Georgia) showed his deep-ball accuracy on a couple of long touchdown strikes (45 yards apiece, maximum during 7-on-7) to Barion Brown (Kentucky). Stockton's ability to put those deeper throws on the money is one of his best traits. He no doubt has an fastball he can drive into windows, but will need to continue to progress in his ability to vary velocities and trajectories, as well as short-to-intermediate ball placement.
-- Speaking of Kentucky-bound Barion Brown, he repeatedly shows that he's one of the fastest players at the All-American Bowl. Not only does he display run-by vertical speed, but his burst and acceleration after quick hitters also provide big-play punch. Brown fought the ball at times with a couple of drops in 1-on-1s and a body catch here or there, but his 10.49-second 100-meter speed and lean, athletic frame make him a constant danger to the defense and another wideout who could thrive on defense if needed.
-- While no 1-on-1 reps were conducted, offensive tackle Kiyaunta Goodwin (Kentucky) looked noticeably more comfortable Thursday than Wednesday, when he struggled in 1-on-1s against edge speed. Goodwin seemed better calibrated to speed and more engaged in general.
-- The East's starting offensive line, right now, looks like this: Goodwin at left tackle, Tegra Tshabola (Ohio State) at left guard, Griffin Scroggs (Georgia) at center, Elijah Pritchett (Alabama) at right guard, and Julian Armella (Florida State) at right tackle.
-- The East's starting defensive line, right now, looks like this: Dani Dennis-Sutton (Penn State) and Marvin Jones Jr. (Georgia) on the outside, Mykel Williams (Georgia) and Caden Story (Auburn commit) on the inside.

UGA signee 3* Griffin Scroggs rated 910 in the country, is starting at center in the All-American Bowl. Just think he's one of those many 3*s who's hurting our average
.

I saw some clips of Smoke and was very impressed. Size doesn’t hold him back at all.

Enai White was only able to practice one day before he tested positive for COVID.

Some pretty good highlights of 1 on 1 matchups. Bouie was playing DB the first day.
Day 1 East 1 v 1's
Day 1 East 1 v 1's

Based off of day one performance, Wiggins would have been on there too if he didn't get hit by a fricking car

I think Barion Brown is going to be a thorn in our side for a few years. We never had a chance with him, not sure if it was the ncaa investigations, all the high school coaches pruitt pissed off in his time or if he just wanted to get away but we were never a serious player for him. Would have been a great get for our offense.

Kojo & Bond looked the best in that video.

Good lord Bond is fast. The speed that’s about to be in Bama’s WR room is insane

A WR that has the speed and ability to GET OPEN DOWNFIELD.
My heart, be still.

Have a feeling Sategna may be starting for us by the middle of next season

I watched Sategna vs. Bryant this year. He is very fast but small framed. His high school team was pretty stacked, their other receiver (#2 I believe) was good enough that it took me a minute to figure out which one was the P5 recruit. I think Sategna will be a good one in the slot.

We have 5 guys in the game. Nik Hall and Goodwin along with Brown, Afari and Keaten Wade. Have we ever done that?

Some guys have dropped out from covid or injury. There is like a two and 3 star guy from Duke and Vandy respectively
Posted on 1/7/22 at 7:48 pm to Kimsey
Not dropped out. They’ve been asked not to participate anymore.

We definitely need it. He will have a chance to shine next year. Dane Key too.
