Harsin already failing big time after year one. I am not a Gus supporter but man this is bad.

The most frustrating thing is that we were in a position to win all but the Georgia and Texas A&M games. Play calling was timid, clock management atrocious, like we were playing scared and not to lose.

Saban lost a bunch his first year too.
Just wait. You'll see.
Harsin > Saban

I don’t really care if he had gone 4-8 this season. Next season is when you can reasonably start evaluating him.

Man, y'all need to stop melting in year 1

jesus christ stop melting
Gus left this program in an abysmal state
I fricking hate this fanbase which is going to run off Harsin while he tries to turn this program in the right direction

I said that the LSU win would likely be this team's high point. Never imagined we'd give up 40 unanswered to Moo State, lose 5 straight, have our legacy QB leave via the portal and then fail to give Tank a chance to give this team any chance at redemption by passing 3 straight times to get 2 fraking yards.
The recruiting class is better than it probably should be, so there's every reason to stop looking backwards.
* Update. Miss State scored a whopping 7pts against ...Texas Tech in their bowl game. We couldn't stop them for just ONE drive at home, after being up 28-3.

Gus did have one non-winning regular season though.
And let’s be honest with ourselves. We rent 3 wins a year every year.

I don’t know about this take… Gus was able to produce winning seasons with the current group of players. I was glad to see Gus go, but Harsin didn’t find ways to win games he should have in order to get us to atleast 7-8 wins this year.
Going 6-7 in his first year, as the out of town guy, is not a good way to start his AU tenure. I’m not anti-Harsin, or pro-Harsin right now, but this season was disappointing. And is a far cry from what we thought would happen when he was waving to the crowd after the big Akron victory lol.

And to be even MORE honest....
Add in wins against the weaker SEC teams during most of his tenure like OM and MSU and ARK.
It's his overall record against the top SEC teams. LSU, GA, ALabama. etc..
Its terrible....

Hopefully he figures things out this offseason, starting with a new QB

Not to mention the epic collapse in 2014. If we had played Sanford earlier in the season, he’d have wrapped up with 4 straight losses (including 2 against teams that lost their previous P5 games by identical 59-0 scores) and only game-saving plays in the end zone against SC and Ole Miss to keep him from losing 7 straight.
Should have known then that Gustav was fool’s gold.

This is getting thrown around a lot...and sure, it's true...but in 2015 he went 7-6 (2-6) where we had to beat Jax State in OT. Our comparable non-conf game to Penn State was a neutral site in ATL to Louisville...that we won by a TD.
I guess Gus won his Bham Bowl that year but the amount of people melting over this loss like it meant anything is hysterical.

Then why keep talking about ole bitch tits? Harsin may not be any better in the long run, but a change had to be made. If Harsin isn’t any better, at least we won’t have to suffer for almost a decade and fork out almost $30 million.

I liked Gus but it was more than time to move on. He is a good coach and would beat most average or lesser teams but struggled with our rivals.
Take out 2 once in a lifetime plays from 2013 and Gus didn't do a lot
