Hard to say. I imagine they'd lean on their assistants quite heavily, as both would be coaching from the box

If we're using modern, flag FB rules I'll take the Bear.
I think he makes the adjustment easier.

Neyland got to Ref his own games.
For example if the opposing team made a long run Neyland would run out on the field tell the refs there was an illegal formation holding etc they would then throw a flag and bring the play back. Easy to win doing that.

No doubt. Bear was one of the best that ever coached.
Its hard to compare. Although I dont think Bear ever beat Neyland but tied him 2 times, it was a different type of football on offense. Neyland perfected the single wing. If you compare it to todays standards, it was the Bear who was the best.

Vince Dooley was in his 8th season as head coach before Georgia recruited their first black football player in 1971. The same year coach Bryant recruited his first black football player on campus.

Good on both men for realizing they were wrong. Neyland never did

Paul “Bear” Bryant coached a total of 38 years at 4 different schools; He was at Maryland in 1945, Kentucky 1946-53, Texas A&M 1954-57, and Alabama 1958-82.

I have wondered over the years why people like Bob Bell and Bill King, among others, have been so adamant about "the Tennessee tradition." I have found that Tennessee does have a great tradition. Its great stalwart was Bob Neyland, who came on the scene with a total of five unbeaten seasons during the nineteen-twenties alone. Tennessee is said to have shocked the football world with its 15-13 win over Alabama and Wallace Wade in 1928.
Neyland had an unscored upon regular season also.

They weren't wrong. The south was wrong. That was George Wallace standing on the steps of the BAMA campus in 1963, not coach Bryant. In 1969 BAMA AD coach Bryant told basketball coach CM Newton to recruit black athletes. Wendell Hudson was BAMA's first black recruit that year.
Save you racism remarks for a culture that dominated any individual's best intentions. Including head coaches in the SEC.

Bear Bryant was never wrong. He always wanted to recruit black athletes going back to his days at Kentucky. The government made it difficult for him to do that.

He was born in 1892.

Doesn’t matter.
Bama fans will retroclaim wins, regardless.
