really? I'd think most military guys would be proud of their service and their military branch, and in fact, I know that most are because before my eldest brother died I would take him to his appointments at the VA clinic and hospital. I have never seen such camaraderie among groups of men as with those ex servicemen. And maybe that's the difference. I had to google AD SM to learn it means active duty service man, but perhaps when you are retired you will feel the same as so many of the others do.
That said, I know that many men, especially now, are just in it for the travel or the job.

Ahh man, sorry guys. Thanks for the welcome. And yep, I’m an old Army guy, retired about 10 years ago. I’ve been reading and lurking here for a long time. Decided to get in the game. Praying y’all have a merry Christmas!

one way to do that is to highlight the text you want to quote, and then click on the "quote" box to the right side of the message box.
