1-0

This team played one team in the freaking top 40 all year and they are deserving?!? SOS in the 80s. Then 90% of the SEC would be undefeated or have only 1 loss with their schedule.

So you want to put the team they beat above them?

Yes.

Do you want to put Texas A&M ahead of Alabama? It's a season, not a single cherry picked game.

All the more reason to have at least 8 teams in playoff. A Cinci/Notre Dame game would likely see Cinci quick exit. I'm all for undefeated teams like Cinci getting in, but in reality how far down in the SEC pecking order would they have to go to get a W? Bama, UGA, OM, KY, Ark...maybe close match for Aub, UT, MSt?

They played the games on their schedule and won them all. They scheduled non-cons with Indiana (who was supposed to be a Top 25 team) and Notre Dame in South Bend and won both games convincingly. Not like they were trying to duck competition.

Happy they made it personally.

They’d beat the shite out of LSU.

How fricking moronic

ETA: Everyone shits on G5 teams for not playing P5 teams. Cincy goes on the road and beats the 5th ranked team by double digits, and you choose to call it “cherry picking”

Doesn’t matter. They’ll give Bama a game.

They don’t deserve to be there. It was just a perfect season for a group of 5 team to make it. The only team with 1 loss was a team they beat. If Baylor would’ve had one less loss or Okie St would’ve won or Ole Miss would’ve beat Auburn they would’ve been left out.

I'm fine with them being there. It's a playoff for a reason. We crown the champion based on the results on the field not by some arbitrary who's "best" or most talented.

Because using 1 game in a 12 game schedule is literally cherry picking.

They have the 100th ranked schedule. Notre Dame has a top25 schedule.

Cincy literally played 1 difficult team all year long.

Imagine if Auburn only had to get up for 1 team a year. Or if this year, you had played a schedule as weak as Cincy. You know what Auburn would have been? A 1 loss team at best, ranked in the top8 minimum. And hell, if that loss had been to say alabama in 4OT, you might even make the playoffs.

Instead, you are barely bowl eligible, and not ranked.

Because not taking SoS into account is bullshite. And 1 cherry picked game doesn't change it.

Cincinnati is actually a very senior laden team with NFL prospects. Bamas got a game in their hands and better be prepared.
