JT needs to start if we make the playoffs.

Saw someone on 247 call him “InterStetson” and I think that is fair.
Hope he never sees the field again

This isn't all on stetson...y'all need to get a grip

Man GTFO. Defense starts getting stops and Stet throws a pick, an arm punt in Bama territory on 4th down, and a pick 6. He can't win games

Just a simple question.
Our defense gave up 34 points. How many times do you think we would beat Alabama if they score 34 points?
That's an honest question. Certainly Bennett didn't have a good game, but there was plenty of blame to go around. Had we rushed more directly after half time we might have pulled it out. We gave Young way too much time. When we rushed him he got inaccurate.

This all also happened with Metchie not in the game. Just like last week when Auburn didn’t have to face Williams. When the two of them are on the field it’s impossible for us to stop.

Don’t we need to stop Alabama from scoring 41 points a game?

The problem is that we should and need to be able to beat them that way.
Clearly we can’t depend on holding them under 20.

I don’t know why people on this board can’t understand that two things can be simultaneously true:
-Georgia’s defense was awful today and will have to play better to beat Alabama
-Stetson committed a number of key mistakes and turnovers that clearly cost us chances to get back into the football game.
Neither devalues the validity of the other.

And that is pretty much it. There was a lot of bad from UGA this game. It sucks.

Not saying Stetson is terrible or you can’t win with him but almost all the time you need a difference maker QB for shootouts with a team that has a difference maker QB and to win a championship.

Exactly. Welcome to college football nowadays, especially at the top tier. Got to have the type of QB and offense needed to win games like this.

Not impossible. Just difficult. Had we rushed 5 all game we could have put a dent into their offense. I don't think we could have stopped them completely, but we could have stopped the big plays....or cut them way down.

No. Bennet threw a pick 6, so our defense allowed 34. That said, Alabama is going to score. You just have to keep it lower. It's doable. I mean it's not like it hasn't been done. Their backs were against the wall, and there are very few teams (if any) more dangerous when their backs are against the wall.

After watching tonight, I actually think we can hold them to 20. Just my opinion. We would need to get after the QB the entire game, but it is doable.

You are right. It doesn't. But you can't assume Daniels would have fared any better. Bennet got us several key plays with his legs that Daniels could not have made.
It's just impossible to know how a game would turn out, but people want to assume JT Daniels would have made all the difference and nothing tells us this is true.

Indeed but the game was in reach before the god awful pick 6

Can we? Maybe. But we shouldn’t be building our team around the idea that we will win a title that way.
The evidence is absolutely overwhelming that that is not the highest percentage way to win a title in modern college football.

You are right. Kirby shares blame. He didn't pull him.

That's kinda one of the big points about having a QB that can go blow to blow with another good QB. You can't expect a defense to be historical until it's actually history, elite offenses beat elite defenses now. It used to be the inverse. But not anymore.
