Bama only beat your Arkansas team by 3 points at home. That alone should be disqualifying

FSU schedule 2 SEC out of conference opponents.

Bama fans think they should have scheduled 3. Because the big 6 in the SEC was down.

At least Bama scheduled 2 OOC P5 opponents. Right?

But your put returner gave Alabama the win... and that's not?

Nice.

The ACC beat the SEC handily in head to head matchups this season. Beside that, Florida State beat LSU by more than Alabama did. And how is it that the first 4 teams pass the eye test, but you put Florida State ahead of Georgia?

The bottom line is that the credibility of the committee has been damaged by this decision. Florida lawmakers are already talking about lawsuits. If you’re one of 3 P5 teams that go undefeated, you should be in the playoffs period.

You just made my point Slap, Bama’s SOS was still #5 even with Arkansas on their schedule!

Thank you sir. I have never seen them use the Sparky mascot. Was very nice. Loved the NMSU helmets as well. Jerry Kill is the real deal and a great story. I have a feeling we are going to have a G5/CUSA “Iron Bowlish” rivalry between Liberty and NMSU. I have no doubt.

Good for them. Still the 4th hardest game on Bama’s schedule and the hardest on FSUs

Sos is inflated by preseason polls. Even if the teams that lose like Tennessee from being overrated the teams that beat them get bumped up for beating them. So it just moves the overrated hype around. When you are scraping by 6-6 teams that suck then sos is irrelevant.

Florida State’s opponents had a losing record. They played a Sec schedule and we are not even having this conversation.

Georgia will make FSU glad they didn’t get TCU’d in the playoffs!

You realize the legal action is for marketing, branding, and showmanship, right? They're doing it for brownie points from voters, they know any legal action is meritless and frivolous.

No they weren't. Florida an Auburn were down. The rest of the big 6 finished the season ranked in the AP top 25 with two in the top 6.

Alabama played and beat all three of the ranked ones. FSU played and beat one of them. Further, other than FSU, ONE ACC team finished ranked in the AP top 25 (Louisville #16).

Both teams played 13 games this season.

FSU's opponents won a total of 77 games. Alabama's won 98.

When it comes to schedule strength, there's no comparison at all.

Not sure why some of you are getting hung up on strength of schedule.

That isn't why Alabama got in, they got in because the committee assumed Florida State wouldn't be competitive without their quarterback.

It's difficult to argue with any of this. I agree that any undefeated Power 5 conference championship should be in the playoff and wouldn't have had a problem if FSU had gotten in instead of Alabama.

On the other hand, I respectfully disagree with this part and with the "The ACC dominated the SEC going 6-4 against them this year" argument being used to somehow suggest that the ACC was a tougher league top to bottom than the SEC and therefore FSU deserved to get in over Bama due to this. It's a disingenuous argument that lacks context. Yes, the ACC went 6-4 against the SEC this year but 4 of those 6 wins came against the #10, the #11, and the #14 SEC team respectively and more importantly because Alabama's schedule included only 2 teams that lost 2 of those games while also including all 4 SEC teams that won the 4 games the SEC won against the ACC this season. The fact that 4 of those 6 ACC wins over the SEC came from the #1 ACC beating the #5 SEC and #10 SEC respectively and the #6 ACC and #7 ACC teams beating the #11 SEC team doesn't mean the ACC was a better conference than the SEC thus year.
