SEC finally losing momentum...

ACC seems to be trending up. SEC looking unimpressive against both top ACC and Big 12 teams. Saban looks lost. Jimbo, Kelly, Napier and Freeze look clueless.
Many thought TN was going to challenge GA this year. Not gonna happen.
Hogs and Wildcats look mediocre.
Seems pretty obvious that SEC isnt getting two CFP team this year. Big 12, ACC and Pac12 showing and getting much more respect.

It's been regional for way too long- I'm surprised ratings haven't suffered. Look at the last like 15 national champs- especially if you add in Clemson and FSU due to their proximity to the south

The SEC has most of the football talent, but the rest of the country has most of the money. NIL gonna spread things around.

What’s surprising to me is how soft the SEC squads are. It’s like everyone skipped the off-season. How does Utah look physically superior to Florida?

In addition to NIL/Portal, you also have a wealth of 5th and 6th years seniors with doctorates still playing d/t having COVID year. So you have a good many 18/19 year old 4 and 5 stars playing against 23/24 year old 2 and 3 stars. I suspect after this season you'll begin to see a regression in a lot of the smaller schools.

Utah is a very good program and has played a physical brand of football for two decades now.
Notwithstanding that, I am not sure any team in the West has a competent offensive line.
