Former LSU star point guard Alexis Morris apoligized to WNBA veteran players after saying last week that she thinks they should retire to make room for herself and other rookies.
Morris was cut by the WNBA team that drafted her, the Connecticut Sun, earlier this month in a move that has become commonplace in a league with just 12 teams.

"If you knocking at 35, hang it up and I mean WIRED HANGER 'Hang it up,'" she wrote in one tweet.

Who calls it a wired hanger?

She could have said it better, but with only 12 teams, I don’t see how you can tell her she’s wrong if your goal is to grow the league and ensure it’s long term survival.
But it’s a business, so if your goal is to win, you stick with the best players, whether age 20 or 35.

How many drafted players made the team they were drafted to? I think remember hearing it was single digits.
The people at ESPN so badly want the WNBA to get views. They televise the draft and make a big deal about it like its the NFL draft then no less than half the players that get drafted make the team.
The WNBA is a joke the leaches off of the NBA.

The WNBA loses money every year. The only reason they still have a league is because the NBA subsidizes them. They are all lucky to have jobs.

I'd like to see one of these wack job men who claim to be a woman go into the WNBA and bitch-slap Britany Griner. I mean, she made the remark that she was fine with the whole transgender thing competing with girls, so let karma settle things.

Back in 2016, WNBA star Brittney Griner made headlines after she made a very bold claim that caught many NBA fans by surprise. Griner first challenged then-Sacramento Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins to a one-on-one matchup. Her initial challenge came via an interview with then-USA Today reporter Sam Amick.

If you're in your early 20s and can't beat out a 35 year old, that's a you problem.

The only reason the Las Vegas Aces are spending all kinds of money on the WNBA is to get the next NBA franchise

Unfortunately the WNBAs goal is neither to win nor grow the business.
Alexis is making the right move by going to the press to complain about it though
Constantly complaining about "unfair treatment" is what truely makes you a WNBA great

Probably so she can keep earning a paycheck when league officials discover that footlong she’s been concealing in her trousers all these years.

Why do WNBA teams play in huge buildings when only a few hundred people attend? I believe smaller college facilities would offer a better atmosphere for smaller crowds.
