This is something I saw elsewhere as posted by DawgFactor21........
Georgia has defeated a program that has won EVERY NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP SINCE the 2005 champion (Texas) with the exception being Florida State (Georgia has not played the Seminoles duriing this time).
2006 - FLORIDA
2007 - LSU
2008 - FLORIDA
2009 - ALABAMA
2010 - AUBURN
2011 - ALABAMA
2012 - ALABAMA
2013 - FLORIDA STATE (have not played)
2014 - OHIO STATE
2015 - ALABAMA
2016 - CLEMSON
2017 - ALABAMA (Georgia was runner-up)
2018 - CLEMSON
2019 - LSU
2020 - ALABAMA
2021 - GEORGIA
2022 - GEORGIA
**Alabama has done the same PLUS beating Texas and USC (2003 & 2004 national champions)
I left out one more important fact..........
I also saw this elsewhere as posted by "Hawk" regarding what UGA has accomplished the past two years. Truly remarkable.....
Seth Emerson in The Athletic reported the following as part of his mailbag this week:
"Since the current Power 5/Group of 5 alignment debuted in 2014, Georgia is the only FBS team to beat teams from all five Power 5 conferences in the same season. The last FBS school to beat teams from at least five major conferences in the same season was 2001 Miami: Big East (its own conference), Big Ten (Penn State), ACC (Florida State), Pac-10 (Washington) and Nebraska (Big 12)."

So 6 out of 7 teams.
So we’ve beat 6 teams that won a national championship over 16 years and that’s “amazing”?

Even as a UGA fan I have a hard time trying to figure out what the relevance is, or why this is interesting. Or "Amazing" as you said in your topic title.

deeprig...you and others like you are just high school grads who happen to be Georgia fans. Your lack of enthusiasm is understandable.

That’s not that hard is it? We’re only missing FSU and Ohio ST just looking at it. We can also include Texas. Will hopefully be able to knock FSU off next year and haven’t played Ohio ST.

I’ll tell you something more amazing just looking at that list. FOUR different SEC teams have won multiple national titles in this fairly short 17 year stretch. Also, the SEC has won 13 of the 17 available titles, and played in an additional 6 title games. Yes that means that of a possible 34 spots in the title games, the SEC has taken 19 of them or MORE THAN on per year.

Sucks going 15-0 and knowing you still weren’t as good as 2019 Lsu doesn’t it?
