You know more about Petrino than anybody and even played his team last year.
We know you hate the Aggies and thats okay :)
Tell us what you think about Petrino as an offensive coach and do you think he still has some horsepower under the hood?

I think the way he treats and talks to players is why he didn't work in the NFL. Now he's going to be talking the same way to 5 star players getting paid right out of high school. What could possibly go wrong?

He’s a huge prick, but he’s going to kill it. He’s never had nowhere near this level of talent available across the board. He believes in passing to score and running to win. He will throw the ball all over and use punishing power running between the tackles. His philosophy is feed the studs. He will start out by spreading the ball out and then hyper focus on the players who are hot that game.
I’m kinda jealous. I think I’m going to cheer for Aggie when they don’t play the Hogs.

The Good: Your offense will be fantastic.
The Bad: The dude leaves programs in shambles. Louisville twice. Arkansas. Atlanta in the middle of the night. Meetings at Auburn with boosters behind the HC’s back.
Basically, get what you can while he is on staff because the mother fricker will burn it down when he leaves or burn it down in the process of leaving.

How the frick did he leave Arkansas in shambles? We were coming off the best season in my lifetime, a top 5 finish, and a 21-5 record in the past two seasons. Three of those losses were teams who played in the national championship. We’ve had nowhere near that success in a decade.

He's one of the most unlikeable people on the face of the earth. If you know anyone in the athletic department, or anyone that works in the football office, just ask them in 5 months how things are going with him in the building :)

The results in the field are what matter anyway. 21-5 and 3 of those teams played for national titles. The program was left in great shape with a top 5 ranking.

To be fair, Arkansas (Notably Pittman) has said publicly that we will not pay players to play here.
Everybody else is, under the guise of NIL. I don't give a shite about a squeaky-clean image. I want to be competitive

I think you’ll see improvement. Question is how much will Jimbo let him run the offense, the QB room and call the plays he wants? I personally don’t see Jimbo just cutting him loose and letting him install his system.
