The biggest problem in the game was that they scored more than we did. Is that how this thread works?

This team is going to die by the three if they keep taking them the way they do. There isn’t a Bryce Brown on it. Our Defense is elite level, we need to work the ball and get good shots.

So it is 7:15 am central time. I would hope they have shot 1,235 free throws by now. They should be able to lift their arms by 9 am. That was the worst free throw shooting since my son’s 9 year old team.

The biggest downside about tonight is that I've pretty much given up hope Flanigan will ever return to being even decent.
When Pearl decided to use him at point I knew we were in trouble.
I guess he thought that was better than using Cook.
He looked lost and frustrated and I realize he was forced to play a position he’s not comfortable with

It happens. It's a high variance game. This team is fine at the FT line.

Green was determined to be the hero again and it cost us. Well that and shooting 47% from the FT line.
And Green can’t have 7 TOs from the point. He forced too much in the middle. And Ark was packing it in the paint.

We haven't played well the last few weeks.
Our FT shooting was great at the start of the season. It has been average lately.
We get up big on people then let them back in the game with stupid play.
Hopefully this is a wake up call for our bunch. This time of year is great for them, IMO. March is just around the corner.

I'd argue last Tuesday against Bama was one of our better performances of the season. Also don't think losing on the road in a sellout against a hot team is necessarily bad.

This struck me as very obviously wrong so I just looked at last 5 games.. 98/123 from the line. That's 80%... very very good.

I do agree here and it's our biggest problem. You can almost visually see us taking our foot off the gas when we are playing with a lead.

Yep, we got up 5 late in the game and it was like we slacked up on D.

Sure, you can cherry pick games. What about Mizzou and UGA? We didn't play well last night. That's 3 out of 4. That's a trend.
What disappointed me most was hearing Musselman say their players watched as we danced on their logo before the game. That is some bush league BS.

We didn't dance on their logo. We just danced like we do before every game and it was on the edge of their logo. Muss used it but that ain't what happened.

I’m fairly certain Kessler missed 5 in a row, there was a lane violation and he got to shoot again. And missed again.
The team was just not there including Pearl. Im not going to blame anyone. But I think we should have done a better job setting up a play to end regulation, 22 seconds left and tied and green takes like a 40 ft 3 pt shot? Should have set up Jabari for a shot or Kessler down low imo.

The team wasn't there? We fought like hell. Lost in OT on the road to a soon to be ranked team that has won 9 straight in a top 2-3 conference in America. We had 60 rebounds. Missed a lot of easy shots and FT's. It's basketball! It's high variance.

No, they weren’t. Soon to be ranked team is fine, but that’s a loss in the round of 32 which for this team isn’t acceptable.
The shooting was bad, the shot selection was terrible, and they just didn’t seem to be all there. Especially the first 15 mins of the first half.

Sure hope we don’t have to play at our opponent in the round of 32.

It’s basketball not football, at what point is home court not a big deal? That’s a shite excuse. The entire reason the crowd was in the game is we sucked from the beginning.
You know where we also will not 100% be playing that’s been a critique of auburn all year? Is at the jungle.
