I have read that and now I read this…

ESPN: Kiffin says he expects to return to Ole Miss

Yeller Feller yanked the offer after watching Kiffin consult his analytics sheet one to many times last night. Up by two, in a game where point were at a premium, and Mr. Freshwater forgoes the easy chip shot. Then later, with a chance to tie the game, with 1:25 left to play, he burns TWO time outs to call a shuttle pass? Offensive genius my arse.

Kiffin is a done deal. Have you not been reading

Hahahahahahahahaha!!! Yes sir, I have. This has been a very entertaining two weeks. As to whether it’s a done deal, I have no idea.

Like I posted on the Rant, until he announces his intent, he is Schroedinger’s Kiffin. He is both gone and not gone at the same time.

I was merely giving my opinion on who I think would be a better long term fit, and I think that Freeze offers more long term upside that Kiffin.

I would be happy with either, or with this mystery candidate that is whispered in hushed tones.

Auburn coaching searches work like that.

I have been downvoted here for months in thinking Freeze is the right fit. Still do but I think it is Kiffens to turn down and has been for a while.
Lane hates Tuscaloosa and the way Saban treated him while he was there but Lane needed the exposure.
However, don't think that oil money in College Station hasn't made a call or two last night and this morning.
Either way, Auburn has done well with the search and is in a win win situation whether Kiffen, Freeze or heck even 3rd option Brian Johnson.
In this business all of us know it's not a done deal until the bottom line is signed.
Going to be a very interesting weekend.

When Loeffler, Grimes, or Lashlee have the presser, we will all fall in line and say “we are back, baby!”

In the land of the blind the one eye man is king. Why not give Coach Dave Aranda serious consideration??? He has valuable SEC experience with LSU, the 2021 Big 12 Coach Of The Year and is presently a successful head coach at Baylor.
