A coach with no booster support, a tainted well with identifying with the southern culture, a lack of relationship building and difficulty recruiting will never succeed in this conference. Period.... the damage had been done whether you like it or not, Harsin will not get AU off of the canvass after this week. It’s time to move on. How that occurs is the only remaining question.

Tubs wants to know if you were alive in 2004? Also, football is all about the grind. We can be successful without one damn booster. There are 100’s of thousands of boosters. 1k dollar donation a year, how many alumni would do it to rid ourselves of these boosters screwing everything up?

While what you’re saying isn’t incorrect, the issue here is the level of meddling from Auburn boosters.
Do you really want a yes man who will bow to boosters’ demands (the same boosters who wanted Petrino and Steele)?
Sure, maybe a coach comes in and has some success, but what if they don’t…? Also, boosters aren’t held accountable to anyone.
I don’t know if Harsin is answer or not, but I know the stuff with staff firings/leaving there’s more than we will ever know. And if the rumor of the affair was started by boosters, then that’s fricked and I don’t want those people having control in our program.

People can do anything they want. Most AU grads do rather well. It’s just a fact. We about to crowd source NIL. I’m just saying you can’t allow someone to be involved in your program if they are tied to these rumors and lies. You just can’t. No matter the money, they need removed.

Idgaf I’m so disconnected from football at this point I just say let the booster have their way and when Kevin steele goes 0-12 again they realize they don’t know shite and finally try to go get a real coach

Yes they can. But they are not going to float facilities, HC, Assistants and NIL. Like it or not the PTM control the purse strings when it comes to this program. If the one/conglomerate that agreed to cover the costs of the buyout are angry their opinion actually matters more than Joe Bob season ticket holder. We should all expect those involved in the program to be honest however; booster, player, and all staff.

The difference is people actually like Tubs. Fans rallying around him was easy.
Harsin's biggest issue going forward will be convincing parents that he actually cares about their child beyond Xs and Os. If you cant go into a southern household and convince momma of that we have zero shot at the best talent.

And at that point, Tubs had started recruiting better and had a lot of talent on the team. Does Harsin have 4 1st rounders on the roster?
