Not to brag on Higgs, boro and myself but I think we should get the credit for the win due to our second half titty rally thread on the scoreboard.

Tank has been more productive in EACH of the past 4 games.
I really don't understand the Jarquez/Tank takes. It's like Hunter makes 2-3 runs per game and magically he's "better"; meanwhile Tank is churning our game after game.

Living the first 17 years of my life in la grange I really pull for tank. I just think hunter runs with more authority. And blocks better. Still love me some tank.

West Point baby. Spent a few days of my life there.

Lived in that shithole for 19 years of my life. Bought a trailer and left home when I was 17. Had to go back for 2 years later in life and eat some crow. Love / hate relationship with that city.

Look at the first half splits and you’ll understand what people are saying. Not Knocking Tank, but he sucked in the first half.
Tank has finished well, but Hunter was far more consistent and productive most of the game.

From Rivals:
quote:
We are set to speak with interim head coach Carnell Williams here in a few after Auburn's 41-17 victory over Western Kentucky.
Follow along and refresh for all updates.
- Opening thoughts: "I am honored to be part of that Auburn family. I mean, 24 seniors that have been through two head coaches, multiple, multiple position coaches, COVID and what happened the past three weeks and how they have responded. They had every reason to fold. Every excuse."
- "It is unreal the confidence that they have gave me. I want it so bad for them." - talking about the players, coaching staff and students
- "My seat don't dictate my service."
- On game: "We got off to a hot start. We feel like if we start fast, we can jump on them and make them quit. I tip my hat to Western Kentucky. Those kids, they kept fighting. They got down 17-3 and didn't blink."
- "To hear Derick Hall and those seniors to rally those troops ... Them guys went in there and I honestly left the room."
- "Right now, that is where we are at." - On the running game, using Ashford in the running game. "Robby played big on third down. He did some really good things in the pass game."
- At halftime, the coaching staff challenged the offensive line. Caddy said they were getting their butts kicked in the trenches. Also challenged Tank and Jarquez to break tackles. "We need extra yards. Those guys responded."
- On Tank and Jarquez: "To be able to see those guys feed off each other.." Mentions how seeing Ronnie running the ball successfully made him want to be out there. Sees same thing in Tank and Jarquez. Told Tank: "No. 27 is going to be the best thing that happens to you."
- On there being a little old-school scheme with a fullback: "We are bringing back some big boy football. Coming down and hitting you in the mouth. Being able to fight or quit."
- "We also threw some old 2004 plays in there. I told Jarquez the running back pass would be a touchdown." - Said they showed the 2004 play with Cadillac to the players.
- "We wouldn't be able to do our job without the people who don't get much credit."
- On representing Auburn in the Iron Bowl. "I'm on fire. I mean, I got a lot of respect for the great Nick Saban ... He did pass on me in the 2005 NFL Draft and took Ronnie Brown over me." Get him back this week? "That's the plan."
- On shutout in second half: "Coach Schmedding, I mean, a heckuva coach. When I say they are locked in, they believe that they can shut people out ... Our effort, playing together as a team. Us winning our individual battles so we can play Auburn football."
That's it for Caddy.

Carnell is really trying to get me to support him as HC isn’t he… damn it!! Can’t help but romanticize the idea.

The guy has 5.5ypc on a terrible team with a bad OLine where the coach was fired mid season. At one point this year he had negative yards before contact. Meaning on average he was being hit in the backfield which is actually flat out crazy.
There’s a lot to talk trash about on this team but the RBs aren’t it.

I love his fire but he needs to climb the ranks first. He is the most deserving but also the most undeserving and he would say that.

As a humble servant of Auburn our football program is in great hands though. He needs to cut his teeth some more though…

Here's something interesting about today. Before the game, Carnell Williams spoke to all the recruits at once in the recruiting center. His message was basically to 'Come to Auburn' and see how good the school is and how Auburn treats you. Neat stuff, figured I'd share.

Yeah, my wife is getting pissed because she thinks caddy should have the job over another "old white guy" and I argue he doesn't have the experience. Nothing would be better than caddy winning out this year and his career. I like the idea of unicorns too.

While i agree that Caddy shouldn't be our next full time HC, it's gonna be hard going from watching his level of energy/passion/love on the sidelines to some stoic, buttoned up coach.

I love Caddy’s passion but I’m more concerned about stability. Prior to the Penn State game many liked Harsin’s NFL poise on the sidelines. For the most part the sentimental Caddy takes are still knee jerk- after a Western Kentucky win…
