No doubt about it we have to start making noise. Gotta stay relevant and dont end up wallowing in misery with "the rest."

Auburn will add additional wins this season. I think the addition of new talent and some of the coaching adjustments will put more games in the win column than we had last year.

I definitely hope we win more than 6. That should almost be worst case scenario for this team.

I would say that putting us at 9th currently in the SEC is fair. I can't really argue with it. We have been shite since 2017. Probably our worst slump since the 70's.
However, if you're talking all-time, I think AU is about 7th (once you include OU and Tex).

They also have 1 more natty in that 25 years. Plus 1 more just outside the 25 year time frame. I'd say that probably puts them squarely ahead of Auburn.

Meh, 3-1 natty count in the past 30 years has to mean something. Not to mention, they have the most recent H2H.
I'd love nothing more than rank Auburn higher, but facts are facts. Their run through Spurrier and Urban were elite. Auburn has never had a run like that.

In that same time period Auburn has 3 undefeated seasons and none for UF. Regardless if some reporter from bumfuct Egypt slots us at number 1 or not.
Hence why historically and in that last 25 years or so I have us just ahead of UF

'04 and '10, right? What am I missing since Florida's title in '96? If I'm not missing any, that's 2, not 3...
Those undefeated seasons are nice and all, but in the BCS era, that you claimed with the 25 year cutoff, they're still up 2-1. Get mad at voters all you want, but the BCS was the most fair way it's ever been done and Florida has 2. Auburn has 1.

If you are going all the way back to ‘96 I assumed you were going all the way back to 93.
Just like in ‘04 we didn’t get a shot at the title. There isn’t an argument that could convince me that any team, USCw or any other that was beating the ‘04 team. I’ve heard the ‘03 loss to USCw kind of showed it blah blah blah… yet UGa kicked the crap out of us and in ‘04 we turned around it destroyed UGA.
You have to take the ebbs and flows into consideration especially if you want a discussion over something like this. If not just do a historical by wins, then do your “trending” by wins and compile and average it together.
But I like to look at details such as when UF was on their run the East was a joke, same goes for portions of UGa run.
Rankings and national championships for the most part of college football history has been nothing more then a high school beauty contest.

Auburn is just really ho-hum right now. Besides Georgia fans, we don't get much hate on the rant. I hope this is a break out year, because we have been largely invisible and irrelevant since 2013.
I do think we took some sort of deal with the devil during the 2013 Iron Bowl. We won but we were duped, lost the NC, and spent the next 10 years is the desert.
Now, I think Alabama was duped in 2023. They beat AU but the devil denied Saban his last NC. They are just beginning their long, dispirited, 10 year journey.
