I'm still not super worried.

Our team has a good shot of running the table for OOC play even without them, our OOC is so weak.

Have to imagine the NCAA/Auburn come up with a deal soon. If it was a permanent situaiton, the players would be in Europe already

Also truth is Pearl's system lends itself better to a 5 like Spencer than Wiley. Means we can play at tempo Pearl likes.

Still pissed won't get to watch Wiley dominate the paint this year

I was at the Birmingham Tip Off Club party last night and saw Bruce speak. He seemed hopeful that we would be okay in the end with all the eligibility issues. Also excitedly told my brother "we just need to get through this shite."

Horace is going to have to stop picking up a foul every other trip down the court though.

Based on the indictment, there wasn't any info saying Wiley was involved. Only his mother. Purifoy actually met with the financial advisor in NYC, so there is evidence he knew what was going on and went along with it.

By all reports, both Spencer/McElmore have made huge progress this off season offensively. I like Wiley, but he isn't the most valuable player on the team

Missing Purifoy should be a huge blow, when healthy he was arguably our best player and highest ceiling.

The pressure for how well we do will fall onto Bryce Brown/Malik Dunbar. If Bryce plays like he did during SEC play or Dunbar is a diamond in the rough, we are in business

I'm going off memory here, but I thought I remembered the indictment saying the kid was in high school, couldn't start until after the season started, and definitely NBA material? There was no one else on the team that fit that description other than Wiley.
