Gus needs to get it through his head that we can't play in huge games with a quarterback like Sean White, especially if the offensive line can't block. The little we saw of JF3 led us to believe that he should really get a chance in these big game situations instead of against the second-string defense. When he was in the game he kept the defense on their toes when running the ball and medicore throwing ability. This gave me very hard flashbacks to 2013. We don't do well with a tradition QB, which means we should rely on the dual threat who can run the read option. It just makes sense, but then again, I'm not the coach.

Mop up duty is very different than during the game. I do agree that we should give him a series in the first half and see what happens. Many of us believe if Gus had not played QB roulette in the game vs. Clemson we would have won the game.

I remember Jonathan Wallace getting mop up duty vs. TAMU, started after that. Was terrible.

playing against competition when they know they have already won is a lot different than playing in the opening.

I must admit that was a beautiful pass he threw. He was only off by about 15 or 20 yards, but it my gosh it was gorgeous.

I admit it, I was there and saw the beauty of a play, but atleast he can run the read option.

Shouldn't you be in class, John?

I'm glad you're excited, but A&M was defending the homerun and giving you the short yardage. Please run past the 1st down marker next time on 4th down.

His throws in the A&M game actually weren't bad at all.

And how long do you think it'll keep working if nobody is scared of him passing?

being one dimensional is enough to get you slaughtered in this league but only having one play? you gotta be kidding. maybe if Gus taught him our entire standard 5 play offense he might manage to be a .500 QB.

Sean white is the third best qb Gus has ever had in college so if he can't win with that then I don't want him there are plenty of schools with coaches that know what there doing that would love Sean white

What Gus needs to learn is to ditch the zone read with Sean, go back and watch tape from 2009. He could use Pittway like Ben Tate and Sean is probably a better passer than Todd was.

You know, I am not so sure about that. Before the season started I went back and watched some 2009 games just for fun. I was surprised how good Chris Todd's arm was, even when he was supposedly playing with a bum shoulder. I wouldn't say he was more accurate than Sean, but I think he clearly had a stronger arm.

There is problems with each QB that we have on the team. JF3 appeared to look great when the game was not competitive and before the defense could adjust to him. JJ is color blind and prefers to throw to white jerseys. Sean White is the only QB that can provide any balance to the offense. Remember when we all wanted to see Clint Mosley(spelling?) at QB over Trotter. It is likely to be a similar situation to this crap. The team weakness is OL and playcalling. The OT on each side can't block SEC caliber DL. Gus recruited this mess and created it. He continues to call bad games. Sean White looks bad when he is always trying to convert 3rd and 7 or longer with a bad OL. Cam and Nick Marshall would look awful with this OL.

Sean is too short to see over the line.

This is what I've been thinking all along. Why can't we go back to an offense similar to 2009? Granted we did lose some games against good competition, but our defense is good enough to make up some slack. Anything would be better than this pile of shite.

Let me know when he gets on campus.

T'was a long time ago and in a galaxy far far away when star wars truly kept us entertained.

And it's way better to recruit the right players for your system, than garnering a bunch of mixed nuts, happy feets, and passing talent (imperial guards, storm troopers, skywalkers), who'll only look good together on signing day and film... And just because some Yoda at another school, a recruiting guru for ESPin, or this guy who's had success putting pin to paper (w/strokes 2a pad) says sign him... doesn't mean you should automatically adopt junior for four or more years.
