I have been saying for some time anyone could win 8 games with our talent and Gus routinely under achieves even in good seasons like 2017.

Upvote if you believe anyone could win 8 games at Auburn with our talent...down vote if you disagree.

It's a chicken and egg thing. Gus is the one bringing in the talent.

Auburn is bringing in the talent despite Gus. And even with the talent he’s getting, the most important part of the team is severely lacking: the Oline.

One could argue that he can recruit better than most.

He is beyond frustrating tho. With this talent 9-3 should be the floor

And much of that talent is never or underdeveloped.

I've been thinking since 2014 that surely the OL can't get worse. I know we were technically better this year than last year, but it is so bad I'm not sure splitting hairs will matter. Now we will be piecing a line together out of players not good enough to take the jobs of the guys who played this year and marginal juco talents. If we were Mississippi State and not a Gus coached team I'd have some hope but I have none. Bo will get killed next season.

Gus just got his shite pushed in by a team with ZERO 4 or 5* players.

Interesting take.....

We have had coaches previously not win 8 games.... so is the talent now better than them? If so, Gus is the coach and should revive credit for bringing in more talent than AU regularly acquires.

If talent is similar to historical, then Yes. There are people who could and have won less than 8 at AU.

Online is bad.

Many of our receivers never live up to their hype due to the underdeveloped passing scheme in the offense.

RB production has slipped bad over the last 2-3 years.

Tubs cared nothing about recruiting and brought in top 15 classes. Not much different than Gus.

Let’s not act like he’s bringing in top 5 classes.

every coach recruits. Tubs just put an emphasis on camps more than most.

when has Auburn consistently brought in top 5 classes? Gus' recruiting has been outstanding......except for OL.
