against LSU and UGA? More than any other coach in college football, he can hold his own against arguably the greatest college coach ever. Why does he consistently shite the bed against buffoons like Smart and Orgeron?

Exactly. It’s frustrating and awesome at the same time.

If the players executed like they did tonight, we would be undefeated

When his back is absolutely against the wall, he rallies and coaches his arse off. It is the most frustrating thing on earth, but it does produce nights like tonight.

WDE and I hope that goofy bastard enjoys his Waffle House tonight. He earned it.

To be fair...bama's D isn't nearly as good as uga and isn't as good as LSU. Bo had to play LSU on the road.

You do realize it's Gus' job to recruit the offensive players, and then coach them to ensure that they execute, right? I've asked you this before, but I'm not sure you've ever answered.

By the way, the defense scored two touchdowns. Gus doesn't coach them.

I'll post in a few days about how Bill Clark is bringing his team back to the conference championship game during a rebuilding year, but until then I'm going to enjoy this win and not engage in any more of your ramblings.

So are are telling me, Nix missing a critical 5 yard swing pass against UGA is a coaching error? It pretty much puts us in position to win. It was a perfect play call at the end of the game that scores and puts us in control

Coaching error? If it is, then I have nothing

Just an example

5 yard swing pass

We played against a 3rd string qb with little experience, and needed two touchdowns from the defense to be competitive/win.

It’s a great win and we made some great calls but let’s not act like this is some manifestation of great potential that the players have just been holding back all year. Alabama sucks and we punched them in the mouth, and still struggled.

He is also responsible for the defense and recruits players for defense as well.

Let me help you out. As the coach, it's Gus' responsibility to recruit guys that can execute his plays. So if a 5 yard swing pass is necessary, he should recruit guys that make that play. If the player can't make that play, you don't recruit him.

Gus is also responsible for making the offense work. He coaches technique for the Quarterback and calls plays, so if he sees the quarterback can't make a 5 yard swing pass at practice, he doesn't play him, or he doesn't run that play.

But either way it's Gus' fricking responsibility. It is Gus' error in recruiting or his error in teaching technique, or his error in having coaches that teach that technique, or his error in calling the play that his players can't execute. Yes, it is coaching error.

So you have nothing. Go somewhere else with your delusion or wake up.

LSU and UGA were better than Bama. Mostly due to defense.

Absolutely. Now if Bama had a healthy Tua back there, the game would have possibly been different. But I will take it. Without him, they are still way more "talented" than Auburn.

We probably lose that game with Tua at qb.

I doubt he throws that pick six in the end zone.

But ifs and buts and all that. The only thing that matters is we won and Gus’ staff out coached Saban’s coaching staff.

Im not going to give them that. I will just say it would be different. We also lost our best offensive weapon on the first play of the game. Had to adjust he game plan after. Eli was also banged up all game....

Our guys wanted it more than their guys. The Shivers play is just the exclamation point. That shite was beautiful
