As bad as Weigman was last night - and he was gawdawfully bad - he ended up with a higher QBR than Ashford

A WR core that can get open can. They are dreadful, is Shedrick Jackson even playing anymore? I wouldn't want to throw to them either, the TD pass least night was beautiful, but then the wide open throw to the sideline was too hard 2 yards too far

Exactly. Nobody is getting open most of the time.

He’s obviously not accurate but with our OL it’s hard to really critique. Especially after looking at Bo’s completion %.
Not saying he’s Bo

He had a lot of bad reads last night though. I saw plenty of open guys that he never even looked at. He is a one read and take off guy right now.

Nothing can help him. He’s a wr playing QB in the SEC West.

Everybody knows you need a DB playing QB in the SEC West!

His mechanics are absolutely horrible
He’s a baseball player. The mechanics to accurately throw a baseball and accurately throw a football are completely different. The release is different. The footwork is different. There are no touch throws required in baseball. Give me 10 guys throwing the football and I can instantly pick out the baseball players. If he has any chance of being an effective qb, he needs thousands of reps just working on his throwing mechanics and footwork. Until then he’ll always revert to baseball muscle memory under stress.

Idk about keeping the ball away from him. I think he’d do great in a slot position where we can use him like we did Ontario McCaleb. He’s got some wheels on him and is good at finding the seam. I don’t see a realistic scenario that he’s behind center next year, if he is we all know what we are in for.

Maybe Ashford can be our next Kodi Burns.
