Tailgate Guys gonna take a big hit this year lol

Not sure I find this funny. Many small businesses in these college towns depend on the football season, not just the Tailgate guys. One of our competitors in Tuscaloosa told us at market that there was no way they could survive both COVID and no football season.

These small towns are gonna be hurt bad.

Tailgate Guys will survive.
I wish their white tents would not.

Based on the email that went out yesterday afternoon, if season ticket holders decide to opt out, they have 3 choices.

1) Make a philanthropic donation to support the ‘Believe in Auburn’ fund, supporting Auburn student-athletes

2) credit purchase to the 2021 football season

3) receive a full/partial refund.

I am curious to see if there will be any enticements for doing #1. Tennessee is offering a 5x bonus in priority points, along with a couple of other things if you don't request a refund/roll-over.

Would ticket prices really increase after a year like this year?

Who knows? They may have to to make up for shortfall.

OTOH, no guarantee we'll have football next year either. Hate it, and a lot of people here refuse to see this, but I suspect we're very close to a cancellation for this year.

BAsed on what? I haven't seen any signs going that route.

Yes, it still might happen but I think it is going to be players getting positive tests before or after a game causing a quarantine.

So far so good...IMO
