Really dont want anything to do with the USF defense tbh

Durkin will be DC only and won't coach ILBs anymore. Todd Orlando from USF is expected to join as Co-DC/ILB and will be announced tomorrow
This seems a bit uncomfortable for me. Durkin has improved our ILB play drastically from where it was before him. Orlando has been a DC at Texas and Southern Cal, he should be able to coach Buck/OLBs. I don’t understand why Durkin doesn’t coach ILBs, Orlando Buck/OLBs and Creamer STC..

Yeah, that doesn't sound great at all. Orlando's defenses at Texas and USC pretty much sucked and got worse the longer he was there, and his defenses at FAU and USF sucked too. Hopefully just an incorrect rumor.

Im not buying it tbh. Why would DJ even come back then if Golesh is gonna make it awkward by inviting his whole mf family to the party.

As long as Durkin is the DC I'm not concerned. Creamer had some really good STs, and there was nothing in Roc's resume to warrant being employed here in the first place ... Orlando has a lot of experience, I just don't want him as DC. Durkin will still work with the players, I'm sure.
Also worth noting that USF's defense gave up a ton of yards, but was also one of the best in the nation at generating turnovers, which is what Golesh wants. Durkin's scheme will likely look different next season.

Just saw this about the strength and conditioning coach, NFL experience New York Jets assistant strength coach, not that the Jets have been great in a long time

What's official so far, I can dig it. OL coach and Run game coordinator, makes sense for those guys to be in close relationship

Sad. ST coach ranked twice as bad as we were. Yuck!!!!!!!!!
But, I’m having a real hard time believing Auburn was 41st in ST this year.

The staff page on the AU website has been updated with these announced hires. Also interesting is that Marcus and Crime are still listed.

Special teams wasn't hired yet for Golesh afaik. Also are you kidding me, Auburn was 88 on punts, and 54th on field goals

Not sure on ratings, the one I saw didn’t seem right, but we did hire the guy from Pitt.

Oh yeah I see Jacob Bronowski,
"Pitt ranked 25th in the Power Four in terms of special teams efficiency, per ESPN’s College Football Power Index. In 2024, the Panthers were 38th overall in special teams efficiency."
Not bad imo, plus he's been Golesh's TE guy a couple years
