He's been at the top of my list for a while now. He's doing the impossible at UTSA with limited resources. The state is flush with oil money and he's having to beg for donors to step up and support the program. His name is right there with Sumrall and Glolesh in the same conference

Numerous sources have told us the reason. We did it with Harsin and Freeze, too, so we know it's not our AD. No other serious program in the country dictates staff retention to incoming coaches.

maybe it's because of the perception of booster meddling? maybe it's because we have been chewing through coaches at an alarming rate? Hell, if I was a prospective coach, and came and read this board, I am not sure I would want to work here.

Yeah I’d hate to read a board and be employed by a school that is desperate for a winner.
But frick it Auburn will pack it out even when we’re losers so there’s no need to go all out.
I’m supposed to believe the best that Auburn can do is a DC nobody else wants as HC.

Nobody of substance was beating down Dye's door.
Our best coaches, in my lifetime, have been hard nosed D minded coaches. Maybe we wait and see what happens before our vaginas bleed all over the place?.................or we can have a loser attitude from the jump.

I think the Lane drama is overshadowing all other coaching searches.
My guess is PSU is looking at coaches or assistants involved in conference championship games or the playoffs. There was a lot of speculation that they were eyeing Deboer.

The loser attitude is here at Auburn already.
Durkin was on the biggest loser staff at Auburn and he did do well with the defense but that doesn’t grant him the hc job automatically and he didn’t do anything in the interim to jump off the page.
Unquestioned continuation with anyone from Hugh’s loser staff is loser shite.

Just for clarity are you saying you're on board with hiring DJ as the head coach? Or are you saying we are going to get a really good hire.

I honestly don't give a damn who we hire. I prefer him over some of the names mentioned. Dilly is my first choice, but that is a pipedream. Whoever we hire, I will pull for until he shows he can't get the job done.

I appreciate that enthusiasm, but if DJ is hired, this was a botched hire. How can an AD who brought us Freeze then DJ still have anyone's confidence?
