We are a joke of a program that has been infested with loser mentality. Anyone on this current staff isn’t going to change that.

As for product on the field, Harsin put a better product out there. He was just a douche bag who no one liked.
Hugh was a desperation hire from the get go.
I honestly do not know how DJ would be. He sucked at head coaching in the past. Yes, his defense is good. Very good actually. Some of that is coaching and some of that is the player shopping. We have some dudes on defense. Id be in for him controlling the defense either way. But if he is head coach, who will run the defense ? It wont be him.
Auburn is in a bad spot. We are the ugly girl at the bar. Something major is going to need to happen to change the fate of this program. Simply hiring a guy who had a good defense is not going to do that.
Im glad I dont have to make those decisions but someone is getting paid a lot of money to do it and I just think they are failing.
The program is a laughing stock and its not going to get changes easily
In 5 years, we have won 6 games once. Once. And 3 wins a year are basically given to us. That is absolutely pathetic

Absolutely fricking pathetic. Anyone who gets behind that does not love Auburn, you are the problem, you are why we are a joke. Wake up and walk away. But, nobody will. The stadium will still be full of retards saying War Eagle anyways, cheering for garbage, sending a message that this is good enough. We have become the biggest problem, we have shown them this is good enough. I am embarrassed to have to say I went to Auburn, I will not let my kids make the same mistake. All evidence I loved Auburn will be removed. The Auburn plate on my truck will not be renewed. The Auburn Creed has no meaning to me anymore, as nobody in any position to fix the problem lives by it. I wish you all the best going forward.

We will be screaming for a new coach and cursing the buyout before October ends next year.
If we were going to hire a P4 coordinator why not hire one from a team that wins.

Hiring Durkin for the reasons I have seen floated in favor of hiring Durkin is an implicit acknowledgement that we truly believed in Hugh Freeze and that he was “so close”

This is the only way. People have to stop showing up for games. Just don’t go. Find something else to do on a Saturday. An empty Jordan Hare is the only way we will ever see real change.

I will add that Durkin’s unit was good this year. Perhaps very good (albeit not great, imo). But on their 2-3 biggest drives of the season they couldn’t get off the damn field

If I was installed today as AD, this is what I would do. Clear the deck and restart the entire process. I would look to the pro ranks if I had to. Is it worth holding onto a class in exchange for inferior coaching? No, because there is a very clear track record of how bad coaching hires erode a program. The day we hired 5-19 Gene Chizik was the day the bar was lowered on this program..This program cannot afford another bum arse hire.

v Bama 4 wins 13 losses
v LSU 4 wins 11 losses
v UGA 3 wins 14 losses
What are the losses going to look like in a few years vs UT, aTm and OU? We are doormat status and we have an AD who thinks the fanbase will just accept more of the same.
