Dye and Barfield never went undefeated and neither played for a national title nor did they ever win one. Retroactively trying to award him one 45 years later like we did with Bowden and Tubbs doesn't count either

I really wish people would dig into the records instead of just posting the number of wins and losses. A lot of these schools have losses baked into their records because they have to play competition in which they are out matched just to pay the bills..

2023 7-6 lost to # 10 Alabama, and won 7 games despite going 1 -11 the previous year

2024 7-6 again but this time with losses to #4 Bama #8 Miami, Tulane and Sumrall

2025 8-3 started hot with wins against Boise and UF before losing to #5 Miami

In reality their record is good for approximately 2 built in losses a year (games they are pretty much guaranteed to lose), but their record this year reflects 2 additional wins because they upset Boise and UF..if money was equal and they didn't have to take losses for paydays, they are probably a 9 or 10 win team on average. There are also some pretty good teams in the league like Memphis, SMU, North Texas, Tulane and UTSA on any given year

Post on SnapFace that has since been deleted.

Also name entered into discussions since Gators will pay more a lot more money to Sumrall on account of their biggest booster going rogue.

Its not as much as what Florida has as it is how hard it is to coach at Auburn. I would argue that it is one of the , if not the, hardest places in college football to coach at. Considering the schedule, proximity to others recruiting, overall frickery of the program

This isn’t all wrong but if you read the UF fans posts, their meddling is just as bad so that may be one I don’t concede. The only way I see out of this, is if Auburn fans start talking with their wallets to try and affect the cycle of bullshite between Admin, Boosters, AD, and Coach. It just feels like we are in Groundhog Day, just a different actor playing the role of AD and Head Coach.
