We still have a chance to make the CBI. Who would have thought that 2 weeks ago.

ETA suck it Barry Booker.

What would we have to do for the NIT to become viable?

I'm suddenly not hating basketball. Although, waiting in line for an hour and a half to get a seat in student section for us to get whipped by UK is not a fun thought. Don't care. 3 game winning streak plus my other successes. 2/5/14 goes into the books as awesome.

Don't fall for it man. Two of our wins have come against mediocre teams at home while the other is against the one program that might somehow be even more of a dumpster fire than we are right now.

We'll finish with 5-6 conference wins. I'm happy for the players that they're finally experiencing some success, but other than that, I really don't care. Barbee won't ever get us to the NIT, much less the NCAA Tournament. We need another coach, and we'll have one next year.

Barbee will be back next year if we win 6 SEC games... This team is an improvement over last years team...

Which was an abomination of the year before that. We haven't improved year to year.. we've actually stayed pretty much the same.

six is doable... USCe again at home... should beat MSU at home... Vandy at home is also winnable.

Vandy's actually getting better. They're not winning games against the worst teams in the conference. They just beat Tennessee.

If Barbee keeps his job if we somehow win six conference games, it would be embarrassing. We're so bad that six SEC wins would be an improvement. Wow.

The only way I think Barbee should possibly get one more year is winning a minimum of eight SEC games. And even that isn't breaking .500 in a bad conference.

Yeah, as glad as I am to not be dead last, we need to be realistic here. Of our 3 SEC wins, one was against a subpar UGA team at home, one was against a bad Bama team at home, and one was against USCe (I don't think I need to elaborate on that one). We also heavily rely on the production of both Densen and KT...if either of them has an off game, fouls out early or gets injured, our chances of winning plummet.

Of our remaining schedule, I see 5 possible wins: vs MSU, @ Bama, vs USCe, @ aTm, and vs Vandy (only because it's a home game for us). 2 or 3 wins from those seems realistic. That would put us at best 14-15 (6-12). Hopefully Jacobs won't see this as acceptable.
