Joiner, Tank, and MAR duke it out for starting RB. DJ may get in the running

What I have heard through the grapevine is that entering the fall it's...

1A - Joiner
1B - DJ

Tank DJ MAR Joiner if I had to put money on how the depth chart shakes out.

I would say that's possible by the end of the season but not to start. My biggest concern with Joiner is he has fumbled a couple of times.

And what I posted wasn't my opinion but what I've heard from people that talk to people. Now is that just a challenge to Joiner and DJ to step up and be leaders of the young room or not I have no idea. Losing Miller greatly reduces the experience and leadership in the running back room.

If I had to guess of my own opinion it would be carries per game

DJ
Tank
Shivers
Joiner
MAR

Since I'm spewing info...

I have heard Coach Bick is going to develop the OL from the inside out. Meaning center is going to be a battle. Brahms, Irving and Bell all have a chance.

Then he will settle who the top 4 are at OG then move to OT.

I'd like to see more of Joiner, specifically getting actual carries and not being an automatic main passing target whenever he's in.

DJ just isn’t a homerun hitter. He got hawked down at LSU, and he had a 15 yard lead on the guy.

His vision has not been great either. He is going to need to make some improvements if he is our #1 guy. It was clear that Whitlow had much better vision than him last year.

Kinda pulling for Tank to get a lot of carries and be as good as advertised

He’s got plenty of speed. Delpit was in the secondary and had an angle. I was impressed he beat the angle on a guy that ran a 4.39 in the combine. Unfortunately his vision was pretty lacking (especially when he ran out of bounds on that play).

There was no Spring Training, I'd say going into the first practice it will be:

1A: DJ
1B: Shivers
2: Joiner
3A: Tank
3B: MAR

I agree this will probably be the line up. Gus will give DJ and Shivers every chance to win the job. They have earned that.

Joiner is always going to be a utility guy. I dont think Shivers can do it. He is a gimmick back.

Tank and Mar will be fun to watch. Whenever that happens

Think MAR could be a pleasant surprise. Upped weight to 208, has great hands and was a strong prospect out of hs. Can’t recall what happened to him, knee ligament?

I agree with this lineup mostly.

No way Joiner shows he can maneuver between the tackles. North South only, and good enough on screens.

The wildcard has to be MAR and Tank. One has the measureables and just needs to stay healthy. The other has the HS rep and has the best tackle to tackle vision of all the backs.

I don't see DJ staying at 1.Shivers is still a utility back...A lot like Corey Grant.

Y’all realize this is moot right?

Penn St just announced no fans at games, feels like only a matter of time before the season gets axed.

I don't think the SEC and most of the states can survive it getting axed. It will happen.

What do you mean Survive? Like what will happen to the SEC without football other than massive AD budget cuts...

Not saying you're wrong or your source is wrong but literally every other published source out there has said Brahms and Hamm are the only 2 guaranteed starters.

If Brahms is in a battle like you say that makes me happy because we sucked balls there last year.

Agree, once you fall into a role with Gus it's a wrap for your career

I don't think he is a gimmick back, I think he is just undersized for the college game.
