not sure we'll have a qb throw 15 tds in a season as long as Malzahn is here. Hard to score tds from bubble screens
You say some of the dumbest shite. I wonder what it's like for you in real life sometimes

I haven't seen a photo with him next to anyone in a while and concerned he has shrunk an inch.

I see potential in White and think he could be the answer to our problems. I also think Franklin sucks and that some people have overhyped him.
Pretty much this coupled with the fact that White is the best QB on the roster. JF3 wasn't ever going to be a qb here.

I see potential in White
Personally, I really don't think either are the answer in 2016. I think JFIII would fit the offense better and find more success for various reasons when compared to Sean White. I think Auburn's best chance at success lies with a graduate transfer, like Eli Jenkins...even though I don't want him.
Either way, the quarterback recruiting has shite the bed as of late.

Because Franklin hasn't shown me anything to be impressed by.
How can you think Jenkins gives us the best chance and then not want him? That makes absolutely zero sense.

Has nothing to do with his ability on the football field.

Sean White isn't the answer. For one, Auburn has very limited options at wide receiver. Two, Auburn's tackles are nothing to smile about.
This is kind of how I feel as well.
I think he is a pretty good qb, but he won't have long to get passes out and honestly, I am not real confident our young receivers can catch the ball or even run the routes.
Nothing against White, but if we have someone with speed at qb, it could, at least hide some deficiencies. Without a dual threat option, I am just afraid he is a sitting duck with our Oline.
All that said, I fully expect us to go to the SEC championship with whatever qb we use!

It's completely reasonable to have concerns about White
This doesn't seem to fit with your comment earlier

Sean White is a damn good QB
What other QBs did you describe as damn good? Barrett Trotter?

Ahh okay. I guess I jumped the gun a little on that one. I don't know much about his off the field issues.

You can't think a guys good and have concerns with him? Since when?
I think he's damn good. But I'm also concerned about his performance in the redzone. I'm concerned that's he's too small and will keep getting hurt. I'm concerned that he's a little loose with the football.
I can also think an opinion is reasonable even if it doesn't match my opinion.

We are in for another long season

I don't think we will know who the starting QB is until Auburn's first offensive possession against Clemson, make Clemson prepare for 3 quarterbacks.

JMO but I think out of the current QBs on the roster SW will be the easy pick. He seems like a dude that really does love to compete and grind and I think teammates will like him for it. He has a lot of moxie and the it factor. He just needs to cut back on the Favre-like INTs he throws from time to time that are just "WTF are you doing?" throws. That comes with being a freshman though. He actually IS allowed to improve, so I don't see why he won't get better.
That all being said, SW's effectiveness hinges a TON on Gus doing more to tailor the offense around White instead of a read-option QB. I'd like to see Gus spread out the WRs outside of the hashes and create much clearer passing lanes for the QB and spread out the defense more so things aren't so cluttered. My hope is, that is one thing Gus discussed with Briles at Baylor.

My feeling on this is..........beggars can't be choosers. I'll sell my soul for a few extra wins this year....my football soul, that is.

Sean White played fine when he was healthy. Was he a world beater? No. Was he a Freshman last year? Yes. White was not a bad QB last year by any means..he also played pretty well on one leg against Ole Miss. He's only going to continue to get better. He may not be the best QB in the NCAA, but he's damn sure no scrub. Our season next year will have a lot of deciding factors besides the QB position. Will the O-line be good enough, how will the young guys at LB step up, can our WR's produce, will Roc Thomas stop spinning. Yes the QB position is a big part of it, but all this we'er fricked at QB shite is annoying. If Sean starts I think we'll be in good hands.
IMO this is pretty much spot on the money.

I don't have "I have concerns about a guy starting" when I describe him as "Damn Good"
There is difference between concerns about Cam Newton floating a few balls a little high in 2010 and Sean White not even beating out Mr. Herp Derp + JF3 as a returning starter

Meh. I'd consider Nick Marshall as damn good, but I sure had concerns about his overall ability as a passer.
