As opposed to the tiny names we currently have on our jerseys?

They've gotten better (way better than how they started under UA, but yeah, still small), but at least our guys aren't squeezed into the uniform that moves their shoulder pads up to the ear holes of their helmets. The Adidas uniforms look like everyone is wearing two sizes too small.

they didnt "pony up" ND got the same rate as 9 years ago. No increase. This is the same deal they had just extended it 10 years.

Wrong. Worth about $1 million more a year than the last contract.

And given UA had been buying a lot of schools out of contracts, there was a thought they wouldn’t keep paying this much. This is the richest deal in CFB.

10 years/$90 Mil or 10 years/$100 Mil - seems about the same to me.

A 1 million increase is pitiful ND probably spends that just on food during fall camp. Also to only increase by $1 mil/year from a 10 year old contract is not good either.

Would you only want a 10% increase from your salary in 2014? I sure wouldnt, I would want more.

Founder of Under Armour in the football facility today.

I would say maybe not looking great for anyone wanting us to switch. (Just tea leaves no inside knowledge)

If they are going to give us the biggest bag, I am all for it. I am not as down on them as some are.

Another way of interpreting this visit is that he is trying to salvage their contract with us. Then again, his visit may not have anything to do with the contract.

His visit 100% has something to do with the contract.

Different ways to interpret the visit as you said but I would imagine we stick with them if they’re still willing to pay Notre Dame top dollar.

I suspect that you're right about that, but I can't go 100% if I don't know for certain. I'd give it a 99% chance.

Picture looks like he was making his pitch. Hopefully it misses wide and outside.

Nike or Jordan should be the only 2 options. It matters in recruiting and we need to take every advantage to get in the players.

They know who their cash cow is, and it isn’t Notre Dame or South Carolina.

If we stay with UA it better be more then $10 mil a year. Also maybe if we do stay and get a big contract that basketball and track athletes can wear the shoes of their choice.

Even if not in the original contract all a couple players (stars) have to do is litigate for different shoe contract and that would open it up.

In the end I can realistically see us being an adidas school not that I prefer that but Bama being Nike I think they would think they have the state covered. I love ultraboost as well. Nike has no tennis shoe that compares. Cleats and basketball shoes Nike may have better but I’m not sure never had either in adidas. Nike falls apart in quality but has the attention of the youth.

I think it’s something that should be considered more then who makes a good sales pitch

I don't understand why everybody wants nike. There is no way in hell we would be close to one of their top paid teams. Nike screwed us when Tub was here to the point we put black tape over the swoosh.
