Didn't go, but not surprised. It has never been and will definitely not be fun going there under the GT banner in a couple weeks.

Been there a couple of times. I have never seen a campus that is trashed as bad as that one is after a game. Not really a pleasant experience plus we haven't won there since 2005 iirc. I believe that I hate them almost as much as Bama.

@WarBlogle: Would you read it if I wrote about how Georgia has the absolute worst gameday experience and the most vile fans in the SEC?

@WarBlogle: You heard it here first. WE @bmorris34: @WarBlogle We are only vile to POS's that are Auburn fans, who more than deserve it.

I thought he was still in melt-mode and being a drama queen when he tweeted this out but I guess this time he wasn't bullshitting

No problems this time. But hate the stadium, impossible to enter, etc.

My wife has been to almost all SEC campuses and said the UGA is easily the worst experience she ever had. Grown mean calling her a count etc.

Also, Im not surprised at the OP experience given the pent up butthurt threads post game. Its obvious that UGA is starting to have some little bro syndrome where Auburn is concerned.

Rig, one more thing and I noticed this earlier with UGA fans saying "I wish we could go back to pre 2010".

What that evidently means if they are still melting over watching Auburn win it all in 2010. And I think you saw this on the field that day, UGA started that game with personal fouls. CMR has a passive aggressive style, he'll act nice, but he'll send his entire team out to jump around the endzone for a TD against UF. Chip shots, personal fouls, dirty play is okay, he loves Jesus.

That day UGA had an offensive lineman that had been previously suspended for dirty play, he went up against Fairley. Fairley said frick you, took it out on Murray. That UGA lineman started a fight, their entire team left the sideline, and they blame us for being dirty.

They melted. They still melt. They're still melting.

AU – UGA was a fun rivalry before 2010. What upset the UGA fan base about 2010 and even 2013 was the way Auburn capitalized on the opportunity to win championships when we had a good team.

The BCS Championship in 2010 and the second place finish in 2013 frustrated the UGA fanbase because for the past 33 years when UGA has had a team with a shot to win it all they shoot themselves in the foot.

It was OK for Bama, LSU, and UF to win national championships but when Auburn won in 2010 it really showed UGA fans all they have not done in a long, long time.

I have lived in Georgia for 16 years and I can tell the biggest difference in my UGA friends pre and post 2010. Before we used to have a good time with the game, but now they take it so seriously.

I was a student in the early 90s and the UGA game was my favorite away game. We always made a weekend of it, and had so much fun going to the football game we went to the basketball game if it was on a Saturday.

Friday night I had to take my AU flag off my house. Cars were stopping in front of the house and yelling things my 12 yo daughter has never heard before. One in particular came to a complete stop, got out and started yelling. I have had that flag out all year without one incident. It didn't even cross my mind until the first time. It was not the same car each time, but could have been some of the same people.

Also have a friend who called me right after the game. His wife was called all sorts of things and they were spit on as well. Thank God I have a health issue currently, and decided not to go. Don't think I could have turned the other cheek.

A buddy of mine texted that it was the ugliest crowd he's seen in 20 years of traveling to football games. Worse than Lsu. I heard them today to, verbatim, I don't care if we don't get to go to the seccg, we beat Auburn and that's all that matters.

We are their super bowl. They are just one of several rivalries below Alabama. They're not even Florida's #1-#2 rivalry. They're kind of lonely I guess.

I've never had a good experience in Athens. I love the city, but the fans there are absolutely insufferable.

I stopped going to away games long, long ago.

I think this is all pretty accurate.

Also, I have to believe the stuff about shitty UGA fans being true. You never really see our fanbase complain often about behavior of other fans, so something is going on that is out of the ordinary with quite a few UGA fans when we play them.

I can handle the barking, and random redneckedness. I have grown up around it. It has everything to do with us having National success, while them not so much. Along with this premise that they are Saints. Saints who have been held down by Auburn all these years and not their own ineptness.

Exactly. Their arrogance is amazing. At the game last year, older man (mid 50s at least) and his wife come all dressed in red and black. Sit in the two seats next to my wife and I high up in section 39, mostly season tickets, not sure how they got these). First thing he does when he sits down is pulls out his phone and starts showing everyone a picture of the scoreboard from the 2012 game. Poor fella left during the 3rd quarter so he never got to see their comeback or the prayer.

I guess as someone said earlier, I sticks in their craw that we have been to the BCS championship game almost as many times as they have been to the SECCG in the last 10 years. That plus GT has won a natty more recently than they have.

Actually, you remind me of something. Remember their announcer Larry Munsen (sp?)?

Remember his "we stepped on their face" call against Tennessee? That epitomizes Georgia fans. An old sidewalk fan melts when they win.

I just didn't have any negative experiences with Georgia people. All of the ones we were around and were with were as nice as possible and made sure we had all of the food and alcohol we wanted. It was a great time. I'm sorry some Auburn people had a bad time, but I'm 99.99% sure a lot of it is getting exaggerated due to the frustrating nature of the loss.
