Not buying the resisting arrest bit. Cops shouldnt be able to slap that on someone unless they actually are assaulted.

Dont see it as a big deal. 3 misdemeanors probably a thousand bucks in fines or so.

Where he got arrested is a few hundred yards from me. Diplomat is a 5 star resort on the beach. That 2 mile stretch of ocean front road may well be the most patrolled stretch in the nation. Cops sit there on it 24/7. It's a 4 lane highway where the speed limit drops to 25mph.

My guess is it was just a traffic stop and he had some weed on him.

Ok, he acted like a total fool. And what a damn dumbass. Like I said, that is a 4 lane highway and the speed limit drops to 25 through golden beach, then 35 through Hollywood beach. Cops patrol it 24/7. You can't drive like a maniac through there ever.

It has been well documented that melanin enhanced athletes and rappers do enjoy partaking of the cannabis leaf and often combine it with either automotive dumbasssery or expired license. Connoisseurs of the herb and curb.

This is called the UGA rule. It also has corollary rules in the NBA and NFL.

AL 13A-10-41 Code reads:
A person commits the crime of resisting arrest if he intentionally prevents or attempts to prevent a peace officer from affecting a lawful arrest of himself or of another person.

I'm sure Florida's is similar in wording. Assault is a whole different ballgame

He needs to watch it.

Gurley already quickly took his place on the depth chart, and now he seems to be letting his judgement get away from him.

I just don't want him to end up washed up in a few years.

Unfortunately he may be done in St. Louis (or LA now). Fisher was pretty clear in his comments before this that this offseason was critical to his future there.
I don't think he's a bad guy, but that was a dumb decision.
