Weird stat, Gatewood and Shivers both had 12 carries for 102 yards

Shivers is going to be on a list of Auburn RBs with 10 games of 100+ yards that nobody remembers on trivia night

Also thought the second string OL looked better than our starting OL More dynamic and versatile, more disciplined, and pushed the LOS better.
I have no idea what combination of Kent State starters and depth were out there but they seemed to understand what their mission was where the starting OL has cohesiveness issues at times

Yea the backup guards looked pretty strong. Obviously they were fresh and probably playing scrubs, but they did look like a decent unit.

Thing we have to remember with Gatewood is Willis looked amazing running the zone read against scrubs too.

Some of y’all have some selective memory. 2017 people were calling for Willis to start because of his garbage time zone read offense.

He actually didn’t. Most notably, against Alabama State.
but his dual-threat prowess is what reminded Auburn fans so much of 2013-14 starter and fellow jersey No. 14 wearer, Nick Marshall.
