What other team in the nation let’s Nix start with his stats over the first 6 games, much less the SEC.

That sucked...we will struggle with uga in the same way. Maybe we can run on LSU or bama but I'll believe it when I see it.

Only doofuses right now are people defending Nix by blaming the playcalling. Gus called TD scoring plays and the players, specifically Nix, didn’t execute multiple times.

Did I say he didn’t make mistakes? I started out saying he played awful. He did.
Our first half game plan was pure garbage though. Terrible plays. Look at the tamu game and Miss st. game. We have Nix passes that let him get comfortable and get some easy completions. We did the same shite we tried against Oregon today, we did a bunch of long developing pass plays that are easy to cover. That is on Gus.
The play especially at the end of the game is fully on Nix, but you cannot gloss over how poorly Gus did setting up our offense to be successful.

I think the blame is more so on Gus for being in his 8th season and having to rely on a true freshman to save his job. Joey Gatewood is not a true freshman. Malik Willis was not a true freshman. If Nix is the best we have then there has been a severe lack of an development

I’m curious too. It couldn’t be cause Nix has looked like shite, and Gatewood is the type of QB Gus actually wins with.

I’m not saying pull Nix. Gus has to get the backup, in this case, Gatewood meaningful snaps. We really don’t know what we have with Gatewood because the decision is made at practice. There are times when guys are gamers. I don’t know if Gatewood is, but he hasn’t been given a chance. That I do blame Gus for.

AU has always done better with a legit DT QB but do we have one? Is Gatewood a legit DT?
