I just think game managing TJ will give us the better shot. He gets in trouble when he does too much. His short and mid passes tonight were fine. We need to get our TEs more involved to help him.

Regardless Ashford has shown me enough that he deserves a shot. Still not sold on his arm consistently but that deep ball showed he’s at least capable of hitting it.

Ashford just gives that RPO that we’re not going to get with Finley. Just like on that pass Tank dropped. He might’ve taken it to the house, if he would’ve caught it. Both the linebackers were looking at Ashford.

Finley has to be able to win with his ar and decision making. Tonight, he showed neither thus far.

Robby brings another dimension. Even if he can’t throw, he’s more dangerous.

I wouldn't mind a RPO with him. Just not sure if we can count on that deep ball like we did with Nick Marshall.

ETA

But watching UF and Richardson got me thinking

I thought TJ looked good, other than the two picks obviously. He never saw the backside safety on the second one, but even still if he puts air underneath it it’s a walk in TD. Robby def looked more of a play maker though. TJ is zero threat to get any yards if the pass breaks down.

Marshall missed a ton of deep balls

But his legs made teams pay.

Looks like another pop up storm inbound. Might be a bit longer on the delay

What a stupid game with this delay. I liked what I saw early tho. Ready for next week at this point

Missed deep balls are to be expected. These are college players. They’re not Tom Brady. Hitting on 40% of deep balls would be impressive.

What specifically did you like? I ask because you’re overly optimistic.

Yep. It’s not about always hitting the deep ball. It’s just taking shots, so the defense doesn’t crowd the line all game.

That was a nail biter for Florida.

Sadly, it is getting to be this old man's bedtime. Any chance the game resumes soon (ish)?
