I’m not sure why he even has access to this board. His posts are Horrible. It’s like responding to a 3rd grader half the time. But we seem to let anyone on here so there is that

I wonder how surprised he was when he learned he was supposed to do these things.

I’ll guess then we’ll have to see it to believe it.

I certainly hope they did. He’s had a lot negative things occur that are of his own doing.

Has little to do with Saban. The entire league is getting tougher by the day. We're in an arms race now for NIL money.

I have no clue what the NIL will do to CFB. There are legit arguments that it can help create more parity, but it also seems like the top transfers are only going to top teams.

Auburn may be on the uncomfortable end of this.

I’m not sure you can count on PTB to help Harsin with NIL money if you think they wanted him gone. That’s another thought.

I still think best players want to play with the best regardless so Bama and UGA are not going to drop. But it can help the A&M’s and others (hopefully AU) close the gap

Anybody wanna share what Marcello said regarding the rumor mills? I’m banned for whatever reason.

Since he is not an Auburn beat writer anymore he is opening up about how things were concerning the PTB’s, school admins, and program.

I only got about 8 minutes in. Will finish later.

Said the rumors that come from the power brokers and boosters are massive and they do influence the hiring and firing of assistants and meddle a lot.

Said he chased more rumors that turned out to be nothing than real stories. Sharing one in particular that he spent 5 months on that caused him some real health issues.

I found it on YouTube. Thanks for that.

Couple thoughts:

He was a fat blob of grease at Auburn but now he looks great. Less pimple faced and his skin is even kinda glowing. I’m happy for him for getting healthy..

He also spoke with wisdom. I do agree that rumors did grow legs last week out of nothing. I believe those rumors to be coordinated.

I’m also surprised he didn’t take any shots at myself and Auburn fans that heckled
him so much on the twitters and the boards. Y’all think I’m miserable, but he was very miserable at Auburn. Constantly deleting posts. Getting defensive over his work, and terrible at accepting clean humor for what it was. He seems to be in a great spot mentally and physically.

I do not agree that the PTB could target Bruce next or would target Bruce next if Bruce started losing. Bruce came to Auburn and lost games before he elevated the program. I do not believe the PTB to be so spoiled and to have short memories to not remember where we used to be.

Lastly, I think it’s hypocritical for him to say don’t spread rumors because that only makes things worse.. He worked for a team paysite along (with remaining coworkers that wrote off Harsin) and generated money by fans that want more details and involvement than just reading an article. That’s nature of the business.

Overall I was impressed with Marcello though. He was a good reporter at Auburn. Just a bitch.

I watched the whole thing. Not any real information. The only interesting line is Gouge went in to the BOT meeting and just said "Oh yeah, I am investigating the football program. Not sure I'll keep Harsin. I'll holla." Didn't really think of the impact. Do agree we need a strong President. All of last week could have been avoided with a few early statements explaining the situation.

Yes that there ended up being pretty damaging to our university and football program.

Well, he has an obligation to investigate any potential wrong doing… and there was plenty of circumstantial evidence to suggest something inside the program was wrong. I mean he coulda lied to the board and media… then if claims of abuse/racism/whatever are true, we’re fricked.

The real issue is people with axes to grind just made shite up… that’s who should get blamed, not gogue.

. . . AND THEY LIVE HERE AS WELL.

And for some their reputation will never fully recover, no matter how elevated their football IQ, nor how many words they'll type to justify. Because it's truly a shame some don't jump in the portal and grad transfer out with the other soft players.
