I think the decision to fire Gus, was made way before the Miss. St. game, and their new hire was focused on well in advance. No way this is Steele.

I think it was made after iron bowl but Gougue wanted to wait.

Their man is Steele.

This is drawn out because the fans pushed back

The wheels were really put into motion following the USE loss.

But why believe the Steele stuff? There’s literally zero evidence. Message board fodder reported as sauces by shitty beat writers and repeated over and over again like a bunch of fat retarded parrots.

A large portion love to act like Auburn is always a clusterfrick even when it’s not a clusterfrick

There it is. The dumbest thing I've read all day. If it were Steele, they would've announced it on Monday, and not given the fans a chance to revolt. This has all the markings of a plan that has been in place for quite a while. I'm very optimistic that the target has been back channeled, and the deal was made weeks ago. I seriously doubt the big money donors would put up the money for Gus' buyout without a big time assurances.

Agreed. No way they give Gus $10 million in 30 days, just to turn around and hire someone already on the staff. This is a time of transformation. Whoever is the next coach, is coaching another game this season.

Who you thinking? Sark? Napier? Freeze? Someone in left field?

I would be excited with Nap/Kiff/Stark. They are there for the taking. Vet them and let's go.

If it was always Steele he would have never received Interim title.

They would have just named him the successor especially with signing day.

Darkhorse is Freeze, but Napier is the logical choice. No baggage, young, impressive resume, $$$ factor, knows the Southeast,........Saban tree.
