If the plan is to go into next year with the QBs on our roster we are fricked again given that White must look terrible in practice.

Well at this point if Hugh is playing a long game for next year he will start Hank and split 2nd team reps with White and Thorne.

I don’t even think that’s in the cards anymore. If he was confident that Hank could be the guy, he would’ve let him finish the Arkansas game. Unless Bocephus turns it on for the rest of the season, I don’t see how Freeze can’t completely clean house in the QB room with the exception of White. Send Bocephus and Holden packing if they can’t beat out the triple pump chump.

He is a true freshman, we were next making the playoffs this year why throw him in the fire unless he is a generational talent.

When is the last time we had a decent QB day in/out other than Cam/Marshall? I’m thinking Brandon Cox? Bo was good at home, but he was Thorne-ish on the road…

Cox was despised by the time he was done. Granted he had an autoimmune condition, but everyone was ready to replace him with Kodi Burns.

Bo Nix was really inconsistent at Auburn. Lots of random scrambling and bailing from the pocket.

Stidham had a good year in 2017. I think that’s the only full year we had solid QB play since 2013.

I think Hugh is having to choose between the perceived lesser of two evils at this point. However the longer Thornes performance repeats itself the more that perception swings the other way.

I don’t even understand why Freeze leaves noodle arm in for the Hail Mary play. Hank could’ve thrown it at least close to the end zone.

Yeah, but our QBs have been atrocious and he's never even mentioned and all the talk is about how we have to bring in a QB next year as if he doesn't even exist. He's obviously not inspiring confidence in anyone inside the program.

I wish Simmons had lateral the ball to KLS and maybe had a prayer.

Well how much did you hear about Aaron Rodgers or Jordan Love when they were early in their careers and not starting? Also when Cam was at UF behind Tebow no one knew who he was. It seems in the QB world that this progression is the preferred method of development .

So we pay a portal QB 1.5 million

No we just go outbid Syracuse for McCord or Vandy for Pavia and have a solid QB. Wouldn’t cost that much and Hugh wouldn’t be pulling a 2012.

On the other hand, Hugh has done nothing but find ways to lose since he’s got here so maybe the QB doesn’t matter

I don’t know man. We have three of the best running backs in the SEC and Freeze decides that Throne should RPO? Hunter is the best player on the field. Run the fricking ball. Freeze has to own this too.

This. I've been a Freeze apologist but I can't defend him anymore. We know Thorne isn't too smart and he's the very antithesis of a clutch QB, yet Freeze refuses to try anything else. As soon as Hank had one half of what Thorne has given us for a year and half, he pulled him. Short leashes are very relative, apparently.

Hank = 1 half of bad football
Thorne = 15 games of bad football

Please explain how Thorne is the lesser of 2 evils.

Throne is betting on games. No other excuse unless he really sucks this bad. Freeze could’ve thrown him under the bus and didn’t. Throne checked to a throw on the pick 6. Period. He called for a QB keeper.

When the pressure is on, Freeze crumbles like Thorne facing a blitz

Cause Throne is a Senior and has more experience, and I believe Thorne makes the best reads at the line but during the game he is to concrete in his reads like today. If you play a RS Freshman and he turns it over whe you have a Senior behind them the perception is that you don’t care about winning.

Has more experience what? Choking? Throwing INTs? Holding onto the ball for way too long? Losing games?

I think that playing a QB that you know, without a doubt, is going to choke and not win is a much bigger indication that you don't care about winning.
