Auburn’s glaring lack of red zone production …points to root-cause OL and kicking problems

Red zone woes are also Hugh’s MO.

At Ole Miss he never ranked higher than 73rd in red zone production and twice was ranked 100 or worse. Maybe it is the play calling?

Same at Liberty too. They were ranked anywhere from 80-125.

Both teams red zone production increased with their new coach.

I have zero expectations this season. Been there, done that. Will go with the flow of how the games go. If we end up with a losing season, we will be looking for a new coach and staff. I will still support and hope Auburn turns it around… at some point.

I'll drop out of this conversation and let the homers keep going.

Bro Im NOT A homer!! I don't think 1 season has a bearing on the next!! The players SHOULD be better meaning the team should be better.

The sins of 2024 shouldn't be the outcome of 2025...

Towns missing 29 yd field goals, we signed a better K
Percy Lewis can't block a sleeping baby, we signed a better LT. Signed another RT. Wade can move back inside. Wright is back, Too Tall is back. Now we have GOOD depth and comp on the OLine...
Lost KLS, signed Eric Singleton & Horatio Fields.
Lost Thorne, signed Arnold, fmr 5* QB ant top 8 portal QB

The seniors mostly SUCKED. The freshman were mostly GREAT. The Seniors Are Gone, the Freshmen are NOT.

I'm trying to see WHAT IM SAYING THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE... I put them at 23, not 1. MANY publications have them ranked.

So everyone is a homer or do they see what's actually taking place, Dan?

This I can agree with.

Don't see us losing to Mizzou at home. Also the Bama game is a Toss up at Jordan Hare especially if we've improved which I believe most would agree we have. I say realistic is 8-4.

I'd say 7 regular season wins is a pretty reasonable expectation this year. 9 wouldn't completely surprise me but we'd need every bad break from the past year to go our way.

For me, a successful season next year has to look like this

Beat:
Ball State
South Alabama
Missouri
Arkansas
Kentucky
Vandy
Mercer

Win at least 1 of
@Baylor
@Texas AM
@Oklahoma

Win at least 1 of
Georgia
Alabama

Nobody in that Top list has more talent ON PAPER than us right now. The more I think about it, there's no excuse for us to lose any of those games without major injuries.

3 would suit me better than 1 and 1... but either looks successful from here.

I mean I'd take either but winning multiple road games against similar competition would be tough and we just really really need to beat one of our rivals in this home year

Was just a wee little greed.

....9 wins would be great, but 1 more and you're shaping the playoffs.

Where obliterating our rivals path is success. First you stop them. Then you take their place. Wash, rinse, repeat.
