You are right. He would probably look worse. He was with the 1s and was playing against the 2s on defense.

Yeah, he looked awful last year during actual games.

You mean during garbage time when he never threw the ball and was playing against the other teams’ third string players?

I didn’t see much from Willis last season. He looked too excited to do anything other than fake the handoff and run. I still figure it to be freshman jitters but it is true that the A-day game shows he has a lot to work on. We need Gus to start implementing garbage time plays of value that can actually help the backups get their feet wet within the whole playbook.

Gatewood and Willis missed some throws but made some. Dline dominated. CBs made some good plays Oline looked horrible we had some good runs on sweep plays. Deven Barrett looked like he does not like contact. Whitlow is bigger than I thought and faster than I thought. WRs dropped balls. Carlson is good. "Appears" that the TE and RBs will be featured a lot in passing game.

I'd like to see the Spurrier approach: this is my offense, we are here to score, stop us if you can.

Never understood putting a backup in the game to simply hand off.

learned that Malik Willis won’t be the starting QB like you predicted just 6 weeks ago.

Want to go search for that? You'll be looking for awhile because I've never said it

Edit: what I have said and you likely misconstrued is that he's capable of starting. One bad A-Day wouldn't change my mind either. Am I surprised that you'd misinterpret something I said? Not in the least.

What a joke you are. Trying go back on what you said before and you said he would win the starting job. Here are your words, as clear as day:

“This will forever been known as the spring where Malik Willis wins the starting QB job.”

And you thought it was serious?

Edit: I don't know what's funnier.. You thought it was serious or that you remembered it for that long

Why are you getting so worked up over the spring game? Calm down, son.

I still haven't even really gone back and watched any of the spring game, but I was impressed with what I did catch of the corners. I particularly thought that Tutt was really good and I don't recall him being out of phase with a WR all day.

Our receivers run like 4 routes. I’d be really concerned if our corners were out of position ever.

I don't really remember Rig saying it, but good ole Lanier did for sure I believe. Either way, who gives a frick? It was a boring spring scrimmage game.

Like all of them. Hell, I remember watching Cam in the 2010 game and thinking "This guy is our savior?" All you negatigers need to hold off going full nega until Fall practice starts.

I don't think we've had a spring game under Gus that could tell us anything. Cam looked pretty bad. JJ looked pretty awesome. Maybe Stidham, but even then the entire spring game wasn't great.

Didnt watch the game yet but I assume they didnt let Willis run. Which is his weapon. Lets pretend they didnt let Stidham pass. How would he have done?

I know this board loves to melt over the silliest shite but are were melting over a spring practice where we dont have many starters and all the backups are playing?

Is that where we are now?

Sort of dumb to let Willis run when he has on a no contact jersey. Frankly except for the No.1 guy or injury they ought to go full contact. pussies.
