I have no idea if the players have any say at all in the coaching search. I'd imagine it's minimal at best, even though Emory said that committee came and talked to the team.

I want to but there seems to be a lot of smoke (I just realized how much I hate that phrase after the Cam thing). Of course that could be people just going with the flow trying to become "insiders"

I doubt they do but my comment was just an outburst based on my frustration with how they played this season. Basically if those players wanted to stick with what's familiar (like Gus) i say do the exact opposite.

I don't find that surprising. Just like the Ben Leard article however, the players don't know what's best for them because they don't have the experience with what would be better than their current situation.

Just heard from my source....said we are looking for a new FB coach, who knew? Anyway says shite is getting real, and to hang on because we are in for a roller coaster ride. He said the situation is fluid with new names popping up like teenage boners. Says we will know who the new coach is when they introduce him at a presser (not sure what he meant by that). TIFWIW, but this guy is as solid as they come. When he's thirsty he drinks blood from things he's killed.

I am too... He would bring a Saban type dicipline with him and will not put up with players who opt-out of work outs. I think Petrino is the best option as a proven coach though!

One thing that does bother me on Kirby would be him possibly leaving for UGA or Bama in the future. I would hope they would write something in the contract about that.

Surely Smart wouldnt leave with the impending NCAA sanctions. I mean they have been interviewing Bama players, he knows the hammer is about to strike
