As long as we have enough balance in our offense that Tank and Seth get their fair share of looks, I’ll be happy.

Wouldn't be surprised if he went pro. Same with Flash.

I know is to not believe any names being floated by beat writers and podcasters.
I really want to know who/where they were getting their “info” from. Was it leaked to throw them off? Or did they just have bad info and liked the idea of making us look bad? Gogue’s statement seems like it was the latter, but he may have been saying that to save face? We may never know I guess, but I’m still curious.

Wow I totally thought he was a sophomore this year. I’m not sure how I missed that. Yeah, he should probably go pro. He has decent stock I think.

If I'm Harsin, I at least Make Muschamp turn me down. Then maybe look at T-Rob if just for his recruiting.
I hope he keeps T-Will around. Everyone else, I wouldn't mind if he let go. Maybe Caddy for recruiting as well.

You think Seth declares?
EDIT: NVM, you answered.

Seth Williams stock dropped this year. He’s been downright bad at times. He really needs another year but I doubt he stays.

I agree. I think another year, especially with a new coach that seems to have better route concepts, would help his stock improve.
But, I wouldn't fault him for trying to get paid either.

So talking about new head coaches and retaining carryover members of a staff, can anyone think of any times this has happened at other schools? Always seems new HCs bring in all their own people but maybe carryovers are more common than I realize.

Bud Foster at Va Tech. Joe Whitt here. That traitor James Willis was retained/rehired, then left for Bama like a week later.

Does Harsin have some connection with Dell McGee?

Bowden got the gig by agreeing to keep Wayne Hall and Rod Garner and Joe Whitt Sr. on staff. Whitt stayed on through the transition to Tuberville, and ended up with a position in the AD even through the Chiz era before he retired.
In fact Gustav was the first HC hire in my memory who fired everyone, including Yox as strength coach, a position he had held since Tubs' first season.

Not that I know of. But McGee's name gets brought up because of the fact that he's an Auburn grad (and we LOOOOOOOOOOOVE hiring Auburn grads). But he does have a lot of hype as an up and comer in the coaching ranks.
I doubt he'd make a lateral move to be RB Coach/Run Game Coordinator, but a promotion to OC would probably be enough to get him.

Nvm, I'm thinking of Tracy Rocker.

I don't think Steele gets retained. From what I can gather CBH likes an attacking defense that gets after the qb and forces turnovers. Not saying Steele can't do that but it hasn't been our defensive philosophy during his tenure.

I just hope he goes after the best person for the job instead of trying to cram former players wherever he can fit them, simply because they're former players. 75% of this board will get pissed but we'll never break through to the next level of we don't break that mentality.

I agree 100%. If the best pick happens to be a former Auburn player or coach, then so be it, but he needs to focus on the best staff that he can work with.

As in where the bodies are buried, his take on staff, and any tidbits he might provide since he's out of the picture at the moment.... and WM is as knowledgeable about AU as anyone can be.

Sorry, I don't get all of the Muschamp love. Our D has been better under Steele than SC's was under BOOM.........and I am as big a BOOM fan as there is.
