Schumann, Sumrall, and Will Stein are the guys we should be looking at to me. If they work out we are set, if they don't the buyout won't be prohibitive and we can try again.

I kind of like Glenn Schumann. Young guy, great recruiter, defensive minded, and coached at our two biggest rivals in their glory days. Let him run the defense and bring in an OC to run that side.

Schumann is currently fielding one of the worst thUGA defenses in almost 20 years

A/k/a the Jeremy Pruitt phase of our recovery.

I think Dabo is looking to jump behind the scenes. I hate the guy personally but who knows.

You remember 2010 don't you? You think our Admin forgot?

Mullen is a good x's and o's coach but if you liked Terry Bowden recruiting I'd stay far away

Yeah, that’s the biggy. But if Mullen was the best Auburn could get and comes in and starts winning, people will forgive and forget pretty quickly.

Mullen was fired from Florida for poor performance. If he couldn't rack up an acceptable number of wins at Florida, why would you think he could do it at Auburn?

Cohen was associate AD at MSU in 2016 when the whole Freezus scandal broke

he apparently didn’t give a shite about any of the things Freezus got busted for by the NCAA when he hired him

Meh. He definitely didn’t call Freeze as his top few options and I’m sure Rane pushed for him.

Cam has his number retired. If Cam blesses it there is no discussion.

The scandal is pretty old news.

Brother he went 34-15 overall and 21-14 in SEC play. That’s miles ahead of what we’ve experienced the past 5 seasons.

I know this is cherry picking but if you take out that last season at UF, he went 29-9/19-8. That’s good enough.

Get some recruiters on the staff and he’d do just fine. Much better than anything we’ve seen lately that’s for sure. We could do much worse than him. And probably will.

Lashlee is likely already going elsewhere this year.

Brother, most of his SEC success came 10+ years ago at MSU.

You are watching a guy fail at Auburn right now who was hired on the premise of what he did in the SEC 10+ years ago. The game has changed a LOT since then, as Freeze is proving.

I don't care what Mullen's record at UNLV is. Barry Odom went 10-3 last season there. The reason why they were hiring a new coach is because Odom did so well that he got promoted to Purdue. Mullen inherited a good program.

The fact that UNLV is currently winning is not evidence of Mullen's coaching ability. It means that UNLV is in a shitty conference with no quality opponents.

I didn’t mention anything about unlv. I specifically referenced his time at UF.

I’ll say it again - we could do much worse than him, we have done much worse than him (Freeze and Harsin), and likely will do much worse than him when we inevitably replace freeze.

The Darth Vader mask Mullen wore for a Halloween interview a few years ago was aptly chosen. I noticed that when he was at Florida and at Mississippi State, fights broke out on the field on multiple occasions. The fights stopped at each school when he left. Just an observation.
