Why not bet on the team you follow the closest and have the most data on? Just can’t be betting on emotion. I think basketball can really get spreads wrong throughout the season and it’s a sport where you have guys running hot and cold.

Because I have too much emotion invested to put even more on the line lol. It would be unhealthy. And I hate the emotional hedge because at the end of the day the thing I love most in sports is seeing my dang team win. Not gonna mess with that financially.

Bruce said today that he expects Aden and Johni to both play against Baylor.

That's great news. Good news is that after this tough opener we have SELA on Friday (so Broome and Aden can rest if any more banged up) and then a 6 day break until the NYC mini-tourney.

Talent and experience wise we can absolutely win this game and I might even say should win this game. But these early season games can be weird because it comes down to which team is meshing better early.

I think this would be a dog fight at a neutral site in February or March but harder to predict in November. Honestly could be a blow out for either team.

Time to see what Bruce has put together. Early season test that could go either way. Can’t figure out if the crowd will produce a “big game” environment on a Tuesday in Sioux Falls, SD? Let’s get a W and build some confidence!

I emotionally hedged the entire 2010 season. Put the remainder of my book on AU to lose the NC. Best money I ever lost and it didn't make the NC any less sweet.

Ha, to each his own.

I used the money I won gambling on other teams in 2013-14 to go to Pasadena and watch us lose, so maybe if I had emotionally hedged it would have been nice to have the flight paid for

I figured it out, the "Pentagon" only seats 3,250

Damn, I knew it would be small but that's high school.

This one might be a little personal for Bruce tonight.

Scott Drew apparently came to Auburn in 2018 and met with Davion Mtichell and Chuma to get them to transfer Baylor.

Maybe so, but we have played them since then (in 2020)

Don’t think losing in 2021 made Bruce any less angry about Scott Drew’s tampering.

Line has moved to -1.5 for Auburn. Opened at -1.5 for Baylor.

Jon Rothstein announces Broome and Aden are playing this morning and the line moves. Our beat writers are all mad because they reported that BP said they were playing yesterday
