In that same timeframe Bruce Pearl has two championships (2022 SEC Regular Season and 2024 SEC Tournament) and two NCAA tournament wins.

I’m sick of being the step sister and never Cinderella when it comes to Bama.
We had a great team last year.. had Houston on the ropes and choked away the 2nd Half.
This year ranked 4th in the NET and can’t get out of the first game while Bama is moving to the E8.
The only thing we have over them is a F4 which we were hosed. It doesn’t help I married into a big Alabama family.
If only we had their region; which blows my mind they got it over us.

In the end it won’t matter UCONN is gonna walk to back to back nattys. We were in their region so the points are all moot.

Correct. Reading the Internet tonight, I've never seen so many Auburn folks complain about our own program just because of bamas success. It's pathetic

Bama has an elite point guard with competent players around him.
They should beat Clemson.
I doubt they beat UConn, but bigger upsets have happened.

Still can’t believe it. They couldn’t hit a shot for the last month but sure turned it on last night when they needed it. Impressive coaching job by Oats. And Grant Nelson looked like vanilla Giannis

I mean we have a reason to be. We were the best program in the SEC and had the best team in the tournament with Okeke healthy.
Ever since then we’ve gotten outrecruited and outcoached by our in-state rival who has been a doormat in the SEC for decades.
Now they’re the class of the SEC along with Tennessee.
Our basketball program had a seemingly limitless ceiling and you look back at Bruce’s 10 years at Auburn and he’s only got one Sweet 16 appearance.

Like I said, the silver lining may be that this lights a fire under the coaching staff and boosters to get better in every aspect.
It feels like they’ve bee too comfortable for 5 years now and the anemic offenses we’ve put on the court since then are inexcusable.

I get being pissed we lost to Yale. I’m still pissed. This was one of the best basketball teams we will ever have and we lost in the first round.
But you are melting harder now because of what another team is doing. I just don’t get that.

Yeah, our team was easily good enough to do what Bama has done in their bracket. Beat Charleston and Grand Canyon as warm ups before UNC. We honestly just got very unlucky and snakebit at the worst time this year.

Not like we aren’t within the margins of them as a program. This isn’t Gus vs Saban. But give them credit, last night was a banner win.
Just improve at the margins and we can win anything we want.
