Crazy that we still have won every game by double digits.

Hoping to get into a 4 way share for the SEC crown
Need Vols to lose @USC and UK
Need Bama to lose @UF
Need USC to lose @MSU
Not completely unrealistic.

Anything can happen. South Carolina probably helped us as much as UT tonight. Cause UK and UF hold the tie breaker against us

Where is our resident bama fan to tell us how great they are?

Not unrealistic at all. Vols dropping both of those will be tough but everything else is definitely a possibility.

Funny how two certain posters were MIA for the game. Unless they got banned and I missed it

Agree. Our guards have to score something. Aden couldn’t get any shots off or penetration today. He’s got to drive. Tre did get some short range jumpers which was nice

If we are posting scenarios - I prefer bammer to lose at UF and to Arky.

Why do we keep saying our guards have to score more? We average in the 80’s. It’s ball protection, defense, and efficiency in the postseason. Yes I know that comes from having good guard play but good guard play also isn’t only defined by scoring 18 a night

Show me a good D1 team that can go deep without good guard play? We couldnt even do that with Jabari and Kessler.
Why are you always trying to combat the narratives that actually makes sense.

Everyone is still shell shocked from what Miami did to us. Difference in this team is that we have multiple guys that can score.

We still dont have a guard that can break down the defense. That is what we need.

Did Wen protect the ball like Aden and Tre have? Absolutely not. Did that team shoot FTs like this team? Nope. Did that team have a post up scorer that wasn’t lobs? Nope.
Good guard play isn’t defined by amount of points scored. It’s the other things. This team isn’t a national championship team. So everyone will get to say see told yall are guard weren’t good enough.
UF caught us with good guard play after a week of rest. UK out played us at guard. That’s it for the entire season. Knecht got us with points but he’s a poor defender.
So I’ll make a prediction for UT. They have great guards they also won’t win the national championship. Ziegler will get exposed by bigger more physical guards in the tournament. Someone will have a defender that slow down Dalton and they will be it.
Every team has flaws. How well you cover them and how hot you can get on offense is what matters in the tournament. Is in 2019. UNC a couple years ago. Kansas either last year or the year before was just good teams that made massive runs.

Well Kessler was not a good scorer. The point is that we have 3 good scoring options if 1 or 2 of them are not working. And add in capable shooting at 1-5 I can promise you Bruce isn't thinking man, this team has no chance to make a run. And I also don't think anybody is going to be excited to play us.

I’ll split the difference between you and Corch. A penetrating guard is definitely what we are missing most right now. But on the list of attributes we would want our PGs to have, I would put taking care of the ball and facilitating above that.
Now in a perfect world you put Sharife or Jared on this team and it’s a nightmare to defend. Would have been great if Tahaad was a year older because he’s probably the most explosive PG we’ve seen in recent memory.

That team was one dimensional by the time March came around. Jabari was a deer in the headlights in the tournaments.
This Auburn team is much better than the 2022 team. We’re not going to reach the elite level of the 2019 team but we have the potential to make a run. That 2019 team was steamrolling everyone on a one way ticket to the title if Okeke stayed healthy.

Correct we have the ability to score in multiple ways. We play good defense. It’s a crap shoot once you get to the dance. How your bracket falls, who advances and the matchup of each game. Let us matchup with a team with no shoot blocker. They gonna get 50 put up on them by Dylan, Broome, JayWill and Chaney. They could have great guards it won’t matter

Agree with this. Gun to my head I don't think this team has the chops to make the final 4 or more, and yes, partially because our PG's are a year away, but I do think we are extremely well positioned to get to a S16. Get there and just see what happens.
