Either it's him being in his own head or Bruce gameplanning him to not take shots, neither is good. We need our most talented freshman to you know... play like he should

I think at this point in the season I disagree. He’s shown he’s not ready to be a guy we lean on this year but he can still play a role and knock down open shots.

He doesn’t try to beat his guy. He is never open.

Our season has revealed we have nothing as far as our PGs scoring. Opponents don't respect them and it clogs everything up. I'm not expecting him to be Allen Iverson out there, but our starting PG putting up 1 shot is unacceptable.

Huh? Aden’s defender is always glued to him on the perimeter. We play through our 3-5 because they are really dang good. Next year I expect Aden and Denver to be higher usage guys

I literally could not care less if Aden shoots 1 or 15 shots as long as we play well on offense and today we had a very nice day against a great defense for the second straight game

I don’t think it’s clogged at all. We move the ball extremely well. Luckily we have guys at other positions that are shot creators and good passers. We also have several that can hit midrange shots.

I'm pleased with the win as well, especially considering how MSST bottled us up in the previous matchup. Broome, Jaylin, and CBM are absolutely killing it but we're going to need more come tournament time. Tre and Aden combined for 40 minutes of court time and 4 points. Against UT 38 minutes and 5 points. Against UGA Aden had a pretty good game, need more of it.

Tre had 6 assists. I agree there will be times that call for them to score more though but I don’t think you can look at today and be upset with their performance

Yeah without a guard who is a perimeter threat or a threat to penetrate it's hard to see us making a run in March. It's such a shame too because our front court has been fantastic.

I get people complaining about the PGs. They’re clearly the weakest spot on the team, but the offense is still working (currently 13th in the country in OffEff) and if they were ball heavy we’d be complaining about them not getting the ball to our best players (like we did with WGJr).

Yeah I mean I think they are a year away but they are playing the way they should. It’s not the traditional March madness path but it’s the best way for us to beat our opponents

I love the fact that the PGs aren’t forcing shots. The ball is moving and we are taking good shots. But yeah, it’d be nice if we had a guy at that position that could take a game over. Luckily, we have a pretty balanced offense all around.

Agreed. I was a WGJr defender, but I love the fact that this team isn’t so reliant on the PGs to have good games.

We are shooting the rock really well lately. 4 of the last 5 games we’ve shot really well from 3. Unfortunately the exception was UK

You're right, playing through the front court is our best shot this year but it is so difficult to do so.

I think it’s more that it’s easier to scheme around a dominant front court. The tourney is where guards shine because there’s no defense for the guard that is hitting everything from the logo.

Just gotta hope good CBM shows up or the Denver/Aden shoot really well when we run into the tourney matchup that takes the 4 and 5 away. I don’t think it’s impossible for this team to win in other ways but we definitely haven’t seen it yet I agree

Bruce didn’t say much at all. Said we will know after further testing.
